The general image of Jesus most people think of originated around the 1400s (I might be a bit off so give or take 100 years). The models at this time had hair which today would be considered long, although at the time the hair length would have been acceptable. Therefore Jesus got one lengthy mane. Prior to this Jesus was predicted in various hair styles which would have been typical for the time.
In the time he would have lived most people were depicted as having short hair, and most likely Jesus had the same style.
Throughout the centuries what is considered long or short hair varied from culture to culture. We would today consider the Beatles' hair cut from the early 60s short, while then it was considered long. A woman today might have shoulder length hair and it is considered long while 100 years ago it would be very short.

Do you have a photograph of Jesus? And do you think his resurrected body is the same? If you do, why did Mary not recognized him.
Jesus was a Jew. Do you think the pictures of Jesus look anything like a Jew.
Fact: The Romans cut there hair short. Saul (later name Paul) was a Roman citizen and was raised outside of Judah. His hair was cut short in the Roman traditions. Saul had many Roman traditions, one man, one wife.
Finally, what is 1 Cor 11 talking about? Behavior in church. And where is Corinth? Not in Judah. And guess what? They had short hair. Paul states the "even nature" (the nature of things) ....

Jesus was a hippy and a rebel.
The pharasees were the bible freaks in his time and and Jesus tried to teach them to follow the spirit of the law and not the letter of the law but nowadays people who call themselves christians are too stupid to understand the spirit of the law and so they act like the pharasees in preaching the letter of the law in other words the literal interpretation of the bibles words.
Jesus wants us to undertand the spirit behind the words and not get caught up in the words, got it?
You question smaks of fundamentalism the same as osama bin laden but with an american twist!

A Nazirite and a Nazarene are two different things.
Nazirite (like Samson) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazirite
A Nazarene is:
A.) A person from Nazareth (such as Jesus)
B.) A member of an early Christian sect, derived from the Jews, who still kept many of the Jewish observances
C.) A member of the modern-day Church of the Nazarene, that follows many practices of the early Methodists.

Once again, the Bible contradicts itself, as men of that time did in fact wear their hair long. They also show Jesus as being white when in fact he was a Semite and probably had dark skin, black hair and brown eyes. Oh yeah, he wasn't born at Christmas time, he was probably born in April, 7 BC, as the calender were all wrong and weren't corrected until the Gregorian calender was introduced in the 15th Century.

Artists' impression. There is no full physical description of Jesus contained in the Bible, it is simply speculation.
In the scripture you mentioned, Jesus was referring to behaviour and appearance in the congregation. To call yourself a Christian would mean you are representing God. Therefore, you would want to remain neat in appearance & actions & speech.
Physical appearance is a major part of this.
By dressing neatly & appropriatley (hairstyles included! :D ) you are showing yourself seperate from the "world" and a clean person before God & the people around you.
Noteworthy fact: It is condemned in the Bible to create idols for worshipping purposes. The Bible condemns idolatry as a sin. We shouldn't need idols to pray to God if we have deep faith in Him. All pictures, idols, statues, crosses, etc. are idol worship.
Important yet little known fact.
Is worth researching if you are interested.
EDIT:
I agree with Greg_57's THIRD point: Jesus was not born at Christmas time.
The Bible does not tell us when Jesus was born. However, it does give us sound reason to conclude that his birth did not take place in December.
The weather conditions at that time of year (month of Chislev - corresponds to Nov/Dec) in Bethlehem -where Jesus was born- was a month with cold and rainy weather. The month after Chislev (Tebeth - corresponds to Dec/Jan) had the lowest temperatures of the year, even snowing in the highlands.
Shepherds in that part of the world made sure their flock were no longer outdoors at night during these cold months. In the Bible book of Ezra, the people state - concerning the months of Chislev/Tebeth - " It is the season of showers of rain, and it is not possible to stand outside." (Ezra 10:9,13, Jeremiah 36:22)
The Bible reports, however, that shepherds were in the fields tending their flocks on the night Jesus was born. The Bible writer Luke shows shepherds were "living out of doors and keeping watches in the night over their flocks" near Bethlehem. (Luke 2:8-12) Notice the shepherds were actually LIVING outdoors at night time during the time of Jesus' birth.
Therefore, the circumstances surrounding Jesus' birth indicate that he was not born in December.
The Bible provides many details about Jesus' ministry and death, but few details about the time of his birth. For those who are interested in such matters, perhaps our main focus should be shifted to Jesus' ministry & the significance of his death, rather than the celebration of his birth.
It would be wise to consider King Solomon's words:
Ecc 7:1: "A name is better than good oil, and the day of death than the day of one's being born."

He was a Nazerite.
(Num 6:2 NIV) "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'If a man or woman wants to make a special vow, a vow of separation to the LORD as a Nazirite,
3 he must abstain from wine and other fermented drink and must not drink vinegar made from wine or from other fermented drink. He must not drink grape juice or eat grapes or raisins.
4 As long as he is a Nazirite, he must not eat anything that comes from the grapevine, not even the seeds or skins.
5 "'During the entire period of his vow of separation no razor may be used on his head. He must be holy until the period of his separation to the LORD is over; he must let the hair of his head grow long.

it is just Da Vinci's artist perception. there never existed a painting of Christ during his time which is the first century, because it is forbiden in those time for Jews to have an image. According to history Da Vinci live in 16th century so it is imposible to for Leonardo to have the accurate image of Jesus Christ. the catolic church ask Leo to paint the last supper, then he finishes the 11 apostle's, so Leo look for a model with angelic face to be his Christ in the painting and he found one . "Pietro Bandoneli" is a church choir and a student with a wealthy family. later on Leo look for a model for his judas. and he found his model is a place where criminals stays. he's model should look demonic. after Leo finish the painting, he learned that the PB is also his model for Judas.

He was from Nazareth, and many Nazarenes had long hair. Additionally, the Corinthians passage, when read in context, is not a de facto condemnation of all long hair on men.
