this is a tough question because there is no fullfilling answer.
I would "like" to think that "god" gave mankind real freedom where "everything" has the ability to "be". People can get a sense of god when they just look in the mirror and (according to science) see "BILLIONS" of atoms stood in the reflection.
Life is simply too complex for mankind to screw it up ?
please read my 2 questions regarding faith (recent)

First, I am a Christian. Next, God probably did not make or stop the quake. It is a function of science. Through pain & suffering, we can grow in our faith if you choose. Dont blame God. Blame the people who build and rebuild in quake prone areas. Choose to get an education and not have lots of kids. Your life will be better. Dont blame God, make good choices.

god doesn't want people killed or injured in natural disasters, but those disasters are a natural occurance in the earth.
i don't know why people live in places that are prone to earthquakes. i lived near marina, california for a couple years and hated living there after the first tremor. really, i think people should move to where the earth quakes are less likely to happen.

It happened for the same reason all other calamities occur. Because this is a fallen world. God originally created this world without flaw or death. But something terrible happened, its called 'the fall of man/original sin'. Adam, who was the federal head of the human race chose to sin, which resulted in the curse of humans, animals, plants, and even the ground. However death will not reign forever. Through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, He conquered death and freely gives eternal live to all who come to Him in faith. In the end God will put an end to all the pain.

It's not about God. Earthquake happen
Earthquakes occur when stresses in the earth reach a level greater than the strength of the rock, causing the rocks on opposite sides of the fault to suddenly and violently slip past one another. Stresses acting perpendicular to the fault push the rocks on either side of the fault together.
and it's too long to Explain How Earthquake exist in you country.
not only in you country...but many to mention
so don't blame God of what happen now in your country.

Have you ever seen cross stitch? On the bottom, it looks like a mess of threads with no plan or purpose, but looking from the top, it is beautiful.
We are looking at God's cross stitch from underneath. When He comes and takes us up with Him, we will then see the reasons for all the chaos and turmoil down here, and see that it is a beautiful picture.

God doesn't cause disasters. people cause disasters by living in areas that are prone to earthquakes and hurricaines and tornadoes. Jesus gave you a parable, about the two men who built their houses, one upon the sand, and one upon a rock. He didn't mean it only figuratively.

He is trying to get this world's attention. He prophesied these things, and worse, for a world that no longer believes He even exists!
