Who cares what Jesus thinks, they should ask the child for forgiveness.

I, too, was molested as a child, by my own grandfather. It went on for years until, when I was 11, he tried to rape me. Luckily, I got away and told my mother. I never was alone with granddad again. My father, to this day, doesn't believe that his father could have done such a thing. I have deliberated long and hard on this question. I loved my granddad. He had a good since of humor, liked to do many different things. He was a prominent member of the community.

But he violated my innocence. It caused me to have many insecurities in life. I could not trust my parents (after all, they allowed it to happen...he had tried to rape my mom 15 years before). It affected every relationship I have had with a man. Now, single at 51, I can't imagine sex with a man older than me as I am always reminded that my grandfather was 55. I get the "dirty old man" shrudders.

I believe Jesus forgives perpetrators, murders, etc. and then sends them to the Left Door and makes them relive their sadistic lives over and over to punish them...at which some point, an angel comes to their rescue and lets them begin a new life with a new chance at being a good soul. But don't ask me to forgive...because I haven't forgotten.

i was raped when i was 11 and i hope this uestion is serious and not taken lightly. my encounter with the rapist lead me to beliee there was no jesus (or other higher spirit) for a long itme. and if there is why does he creat peopel like that? i do believe in redemption. i suppose if people have honestly changed their ways they are good. i would never forgive my rapist though. but im not jesus, im sure our gods are little more forgiving then i.

Jesus, forgives all those who come to him repenting,in the eyes of god all crimes against man are of the same level murder, rape , all sins are sins.....and all sins can be forgiven through the son.....except suicide, because by your own hand you no longer have the ability to ask for forgiveness......i,m sorry...

Supposedly He is supposed to forgive all. This is why I doubt religion. Who could honestly forgive someone who defiles a child.

For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. He is the Christ, He forgives all. Thank God it ain't my job. All molestors would never make heaven. They would all be living in the outhouses of hell!!!!!!!!
