Both are correct.
One means whatever you said is now true (doesn't necessarily mean that it was true when you said it, but most likely).
Two means that what you said was true WHEN YOU SAID IT. It may or may not still be true, but you're emphasising that you were telling the truth about him. Since the two verbs are in the same tense with no indication of a change in time, we have to assume they occured at the same time.

Well it depends on if the information is still correct. If everything you said about him is still true then one is correct. But if what you said is not longer true then two is correct.

the first one answers what ever u said about that person is true that is presently it is true
The second one says what ever u said about tha person was true some time back in the past and now it is false

everything is true means that it still is ture
everytinbg was true means that in the past it was true but no longer continues to be true so then both are correct.

it's an "iffy" question. if the person was just there and then left and you were talking to a friend you would say #1. but if this happened awhile ago and you were talking to your friend you would say #2.
