To the few babies that I personally saw die in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit... What was their reason for living those few short days that they did? Do we really all have a reason why we are here?

Life is precious!

You have witnessed it!

However, they went quickly to be with God so lucky them!

In my oppinion,
rich/poor, beauty/ugly, smart/dumb, powerful/powerless, popular/unpopular.... these things won't make us go to heaven. Because once we die... these things won't matter anymore.

What matter is our heart - good or not. That determines where our soul going to be afterlife: Heaven/Hell.

I think the reason why the few babies died are because we're still on earth, which is a place full of suffering and happiness at the same time. Things happened on earth. Natural disasters, etc. But we do know that their hearts are pure like a clean white paper - they are in a better place now. They are in a place without suffering.

The reason why we live is because we have a chance to go to heaven. We just have to try our best and make sure we get there.

The reason is deeply personal, on the "soul" level, between the babies' parents, and the babies themselves. There is much happening that we cannot see while focused "here" in the physical.

On a certain level, every "death" is planned. Ours is to learn what life actually is, and these events help to bring us, as one, and individually, to that learning.

There is reason for everything, but this does not imply that we are puppets. Nor are we tested, nor scrutinized. We are free to discover who and what we actually are. The "souls" of these babies decided for their own personal reasons, to not "live" beyond a few days. Who knows what path this would inspire the parents to take? It is a personal choice...an agreement.

I believe, and this is just me, that everyone fulfills a purpose however small their life is. You dont always know what happened behind the scenes of some events. Maybe those lives will help save other lives, maybe it will help to heal a parent, or save a family. Maybe, even if it is years down the road, that life will be a turning point to someone else.

I believe, no life is ever lived in vain, not a single one. And the purpose of some we may never know, and it wasnt meant for us to. Just my opinion though.

Maybe to touch somebodys life. To soften a heart. They done the work the Lord sent them to do in a very short time. They are with the Lord now.

You obviously care very much for them. I commend you for doing a job that I could not do in a million years and keep my sanity. God bless you.

I'm no expert but we don't have any real answers but what shows on the autopsy. If your religious or if your not. Those few moments of life are all that's needed to touch someones heart.

Not really. To procreate. Sadly these babies did not have their chance.

You are a stronger person than me, I couldn't stand to see a baby die.
