I believe women should stay quiet everywhere, but especially in the Lords house, where gossip runs rampant. Now before you misconsrue this as a sexist remark, I want you to know i feel there is nothing wrong with being a woman and every man should own one.

Yep, that's exactly what it says. A woman is to be silent in church, not teach or preach, and cover her head. If she has a question, she can ask her husband at home.
But what if he's wrong, or what if he doesn't have an answer???
That has changed drastically now, many women teach and even preach, even if the Bible clearly tells them not to. They're going against the teachings of their own religion.
Christianity is outdated.

Women, and men, and children, and anyone regardless of age, race or sex, is supposed to stay quiet at church, theaters, or any other public place where there's someone performing.
It's not a matter of religion, it's a matter of respect.
This is one of the reasons why books like the bible should not be allowed to be read by people without someone explaining the meaning of its contents.
Just take it easy, and if you feel like talking call some friends and invite them to your home.

In the times of old that may have been a fit law where men ruled and women were nothing but breeding stock for the men to have children...
In todays world we are more educated and every woman is an equal to every man so the law is outdated...

Yes that mean not to teach or Preach or Minister
They can talk and speak, but not to the congregation as a leader of the church

It was a cultural thing. A problem in that particular church. However based on other verses women are not to pastor or teach men in church.

No way. My church has a female pastor. I don't believe women are to be quiet in church. I don't believe a lot of things the bible says.

personally i dont think women have to be silent , i was raised penticostal holliness and i think the silence it means is to do with the things a decon takes care of like bills and that sort of stuff as far as shouting preaching or singing and a little amen or hallijah now and then i dont see that it matters whose mouth it comes out of if they feel the spirit they should be allowed to speak of it. men and women are created equal...

Men may talk about religion and sprit, but Women ARE the essence of godliness. So the silence of a woman, is like the Stillness of God.

I am familiar with this verse and it is one of the reasons I don't believe in the Bible. It's not ok with me, and I can't believe in a book that teaches such things.
