Illegals and their sympathizers constantly accuse Americans of being lazy....how then did America get so great

If we are so lazy, how did we create such a wonderful country that these whinners are working so hard to come to? Frankly, I'm sick of the "white American's are lazy" philosophy. We're industrious enough to take care of them....As Americans we need to quit apologising for what we have and what we are because we earned it.

We've saved Europe twice from being taken over by dictators, we feed the world, send financial aid to the whole planet....when do we demand a little respect from those who want all we have and then stab us in the back?

Those people are confusing technological advances with laziness. The whole idea behind technological advances is to have more time to do the things Americans like to do. Examples are these. 25 years ago you would see commercials for exercise equipment that would give you a full body work out in 45 minutes 4 days a week. Today you get a full body work out in 10 minutes 2 times a week. Also, America builds a space shuttle that can be used over and over again instead of building a dozen single use rockets. Are those examples of laziness or examples of efficiency and organization.

and u r saying that only Americans did this by themselves. give me a break, how many African American slaves fought in the civil war & every other dam world war the US was involved in too? It has not only always been Americans, some were foreign born also. There is a big difference between teh Americans that were 100 yrs ago & now. Americans in todays-not all but many- society r ignorant, rude, and lazy-yes lazy. How many parents buy their kids videogames, tv's , cell phones by the age their 12? families don't have a moral foundation anymore and ppl r too worried about vanity and money to care & educate their disrespectful kids. Education, respect for urself & OTHERS should be taught as a priority at home first, then the rest will fall into place. u should get ur facts straight and look at all the black, white, asian, & mexican ppl who have contributed to this country.

Immigrants both illegal and legal do not want anything but the opportunity to work in the US. Illegal immigrants do not take anything. Illegals do NOT accuse Americans of being lazy. Immigrants are often in poor neighborhoods and see others that are poor, people that are poor have sometimes been lazy, white or any color, that is why they are poor.
America is the country founded on individual rights. The employer owns the job, not us native born Americans. Prohibiting legal immigration with small quotas- or entry with few or no visas is an affirmative action program protecting jobs for us native borns.
Do we want that?
We native born Americans do not have an American right to vote to block the immigration of others from the outside. Immigration is a fundamental natural right -see Thomas Jefferson. The employer has the moral right to hire whomever he chooses.
No one takes care of immigrants, legal or illegal. Illegal immigrants come here because they respect this country and they cannot afford to wait the decades to go through the immoral process to enter legally.
American civilization is the greatest the world has ever seen, it is not a "white" civilization, it is the culmination of Western philosophy which has been proven to have nothing to do with race, except the race of man.
The greatest achievers in history have been immigrants to America. Immigration laws must be open to allow ambitious workers from every country.- from Europe but also Asia, Australia, South America, i.e. Mexico to Haiti, to India to China, Japan.

That just goes to show you how stupid they are! I worked 2 jobs AND went to college. My husband works 6 days a week sometimes and NEVER misses a day of work, even when he is sick. My dad worked every day, a hard job, for 30 years, until he was disabled.

This is just another one of their mindless arguments. You want to hear some other stupid arguments, just as stupid as this one? 1. They think they are Native American, trying to have people believe they have a right to North American Indian legacy, which is pathetic. 2. They say they were here first, then why are they from Mexico? 3. They say that the Southwest belongs to them anyway, which is stupid because it was BOUGHT from them. I could go on and on.

Anyway if Americans were lazy, which they are not, that DOES NOT give them the right to steal what isn't theirs and demand when they have no right to. It does NOT give them the right to break our laws and get by with it. These people have some nerve, I tell you.

Yes we are a great nation! We do take pride in our products and services, at least we did for awhile. What has happened in our country is that the greed factor has taken over and pride in our work is shrinking. Hear me out. If celebrities, athletes and tycoons buy fancy things, we want them too. We can't afford them, but we want them anyway. So, we charge big ticket items to keep up with celebrities. How do we pay? We overcharge customers or refuse to work for less money. This in turn makes us lazy from working less for more money. Working less, eating more, exercising less, playing more games, etc. has made us a weaker, undisciplined society. To other nations who work harder and for more hours in a day, this looks like we ARE lazy. Of course, nobody wants to be poor. But, if you avoid hard work to get by the easy way, what would you call that?

I agree with Joe and his guitar on this one and I would also say "who are really the lazy ones?" They are too lazy to learn that they are being taken advantage of, big-time! Who just keeps on going out to pick those crops in the hot sun for 10 or 12 hour days for slave wages, when there are machines that can do that work nowadays and in half the time? Illegal immigrants and their supporters like to say that "hey, they do the work that you lazy, fat Americans won't/can't do!" Duh! No, we won't do the work for the s**t wages that they are willing to do that work for, especially when there are machines that we can operate that will do that work, but illegals can't operate those machines because they don't have education past 5th grade. The employers who hire them are taking advantage of them because when the employees get hurt on the job, the employer can deny that they ever worked for them and so the illegal gets squat for compo. In fact, I've heard stories of the illegals not even getting fair overtime wages for working those 10 - 12 hour days - who's stupid here? Duh, again!

America was great before illegals came swarming into the country, and she will be great again when their butts are all kicked back out!

That is just a blurb.
A couple of times on other forums I have seen this statement made and I called them on it and I found out one of them operated a large bar/restaraunt. The other ran some other sort of business.
What they are really saying is..
"we like undocumented workers because we do not have to do the requesite paperwork. We can pocket whatever we claimed we deducted from their pay(who's gonna know?).
We don't have to comply with OSHA regulations.
When we done with them we don't have to worry about them making claim for unemployment.
We can screw them on pay.
We can work them in whatever conditions we like.
What are they gonna do?
Go to the government and complain?
AH ha ha ha we love our de facto subsidies.
