depends what you want....
Panasonic is the best as far as i can say in TV's and sound system and all i guess.. because they are either made in japan or malaysia... and you can seriously see the difference in product made there and anywhere else in the world... plus panasonic is a very durable... in my country there is alot of dust and everything.. and panasonic works amazingly!!
problem with sony is in its lens of dvd players etc.. my brother got a sony home theatre and its loading and unloading got screwed up in 5 months.... and lens has started skipping too.. i have a panasonic dvd players since 3 yrs and it hasnt squeeked as yet!!
plus panasonic is the best combination of sound n picture quality...
in cell phones... definitely motorola.... in car stereo... poineer or kenwood.

I would say Sony. But some electronic brands are good in their own products too. Say Canon is good with digicams.

Five years ago, I would have said Sony, but they have fell off of late. Nowadays, there is no "Number One". All name brands make excellent products. When buying. pick what sounds, looks, feels, works, the best to you.

In my opinion, there isn't ONE "best brand" in electronics.
Sony, Panasonic, Samsung, LG, Sanyo, JVC, Phillips, HP, Dell, Gateway... the list goes on and on.
The consumer needs to find which brand won't leave a hole in your wallet, which one suits the consumer's needs, and which they will be happy owning.
Shop around, compare, and you can discover your personal favorite.
I like Sony, my neighbor loves Panasonic, my dad loves all of his LG products.
Everyone has different tastes, different favorites.

it matters on what item u buy.
if u r interested in computers, then dell is the best.
but in general, Sony Corporation is the best bcoz they hv competitive prices, reasonable warranty of about 3-5 yr on most items...but if u want 2 buy a genuine Sony product at a very good price, then you will get it in DUBAI.
