All i know is that my girlfriend uses Mac computers and they have a lot of cool programs. I need to know if i should just look for different versons of the cool programs that Mac's run... or if i should invest in some way of putting a Mac's opperating system on my older computer?
I'm thinking that my money is kinda tight around now, and i shouldn't spend more then $200. Please help me...

You should try Ubuntu!

Ubuntu is free.

Ubuntu has 17,000 free programs!

You can order CDs for free from ubuntu.com, or for $10 from Amazon.com. Search Amazon.com for "ubuntu" and you will find the CDs and also many books about it.

If you like computer projects you can download Ubuntu and burn it to a CD yourself, but it is about 700MB so you need a high-speed connection. Instructions and screenshots are below.

Generally, no. Mac OS is hardware specific and will only run on computers made by apple - and then only specific models, depending on the version of the OS.

You might find some hardware emulators (I have seen a few in the past for running old versions of MacOS), but they aren't generally very good and you'd probably not find them very workable.
