My daughter was a chunky little Tunafish as well. She turned 11 months yesterday. I ballooned from 130 to 200lbs. Here is how I lost it. This worked for me, and I hope you can take some of my tips/diet.
Diet:
Breakfast:
Oatmeal 3/4 cups, with two packets of equal sweetener.
1/2 grapefruit.
Water

Snack:
raw veggies. Or a rice cake (make sure they are gluten free).

Lunch:
Tuna and Lettuce wrap, with vinagrette dressing. To prepare, take lettuce leaves and wrap the canned tuna like a burrito. You can add cooked carrots, broccoli, etcc. to give it some flavor. Next, drizzle with one tbsp. of Vinagrette dressing.

Snack:
Apple

Dinner:
Boneless, skinless chicken breast, 1/2 cup brown rice (no WHITE RICE), steamed broccoli, cauliflower. 1 slice of whole grain wheat bread.
DO NOT EAT AFTER 8P.M.

I also took Hydroxycut.

Exercise Plan:
Sunday: Day off. This is your only day off, so relax and soak your sore muscles on these days.

Monday:
Cardio:
Run if you can. Purchase a jogging stroller. This was my cardio. I strapped "AdjoAdjo Jr" in her jogging stroller and off we went. Or, if you can't speed walk. Walk like Freddy Kruger is about to take a chunk out of your big ghetto booty! Add wrist and ankle weights for intensity. You can purchase these at the Sports Authority.
Also, I did the Firm Excercise tapes. I usually wouldn't use at home tapes, but who has time to go to the gym with a baby. These tapes incorporate a lot of lunges and squats.
Okay.
TUESDAY:
Strenghtraining.
You will have to email me for my workout. My hubby put it together and I will email it to you.

Wednesday:
Cardio 1 hour!!!

Thursday:
Strength train-1 hour!

Friday:
Cardio 1 Hour.

Saturday:
Do floor toning exercises. Again, I can email this to you.
Also, please purchase, Women's strength training anatomy by "Frederic Delavier." This book is so helpful. It breaks our bodies down by shape (i.e. I'm a pear), and where we put on weight the most. For instance, some women gain belly weight on the sides, where others put it on in the front. Or, some women feel they have fat knees. This book gives you clear and concise exercises to perform to sculpt your body.
I personally did lots of dips, squats, lunges, russian lunges, Hindu squats, calf lifts, for lower body.

And for stomach, I did leg lifts, very hard, followed by crunches on the swiss exercise ball.

And for upper body, I did lat rows for back, military press for shoulders, chest press, bicep curls, tricep kickbacks, and "clean and press." The key to losing weight is a clean diet (NOT A STARVATION DIET), intensive cardio, and strength training to sculpt. Good luck and congratulations on your new addition to your family.

Slow weight loss is better than fast weight loss. If you lose less than 2 lbs a week you are more likely to keep it off. Avoid simple carbohydrates and eat complex carbs (wheat bread instead of white), drink more water, eat more small meals (6 a day), work out 3 times a week for at least 30 minutes (aerobic, get your heart beating). Snack on fruits and vegetables, and get as much sleep as you can... not sleeping enough will keep you from losing weight, so sleep when you baby sleeps. Weight Watchers is a good 'lifestyle change' which is approved by many doctors.

I'm 18 with a 7 month old daughter. Unfortunately my story is not the happy ending (yet I hope!). I fell pregnant in September 2008 and gave birth in June 2009. I put on 30kg's! I couldn't believe it. I had been an australian size 10-12 and now I am an 18-20. Not good for self esteem I must say. Now forgetting that I have had partner issues and other normal parenting issues. I have told myself that I must lose the weight. Mainly for my own sanity! I started about 1 week ago and I have already lost 2.5kgs. For me being a single working mum is difficult but worth wile. I haven't had time to focus on dieting, working out etc because of all of the other must do items on my everyday list. But now I say no to all of that and I am trying to put myself first. If I had been focused enough at the start I would have already been at my original weight. So if you stay focused, eat the right food, excercise, make time for yourself and (the most important one) sleep! I was told my many people to sleep when my baby was sleeping. I figured that would be easy. But sadly it was not. I didn't go to sleep because I was either working, cleaning, cooking, washing clothes, tidying up, vacuuming etc etc etc. In the last week, on days I am not working. I do go to sleep when my daughter does. And it has made a huge difference. Mainly to my tolerance level. Please don't worry mother hood is great and like I said, if you eat right, excercise and sleep. The weight will come off.

just do it the same way you nrmally lose weight. Do not snack in between meals, cut down on the meals a little bit, but not so that you become anorexic, and then excersice for an hour or more a day. You have to make that time. Sacrifice watching TV or something so that you can just go for a jog or a bikeride. You know, and you don't have to go to a gym either. You can also do sittups, pushups, leg lifts. squats... ect.

Go for lots of walks with your baby in the stoller, go to the park, and not leisurely, really stride and walk fast. Pilates in the morning is awesome and yoga too. If you have the money, join a gym for 2 to 3 days a week. Make sure you get at least 30 minutes of exercise everyday. Drink 8 glasses of water everyday and eat consiously at every meal. Eat a lot of vegetables and fruit. Drink some V8 juice at least 20 mins before a meal, it help you fill up. And it is very healthy. Drink 2 cups a day of v8. Good luck!

Walk....walk....and walk some more!! =) Also make sure you are not consuming too many calories. I lost my baby weight by taking my son on 3-4 mile walks with me everyday and eating no more than 900 calories (which is not recommended!) but it worked really good and really fast! Good Luck...baby weight is the HARDEST to lose!

Women don't seem to realize that breast feeding is the best way to go back to prepregnancy weight. Of course if you didn't start out breastfeeding, it's too late for that to work.
