certainly martin luther king,, John kennedy they raised the people up with the power of speech,, and so we look for leaders today with a force of will, and character,, but its sadly lacking in a crop of men departed reality for riches and power alone ..,,,, an olde dude ps the youngster above should get out of the religion business as he hasnt read a bible or a tao or akoran and is just apeing the thoughts of others and a fashion of the times,, and ill pray he finds some comfort in the end of his life here on the planet

It does, you see it more in smaller circles - a team mate, a teacher, a family member, a minister, a really great boss. So very rare to have a Public Figure that can instill that kind of feeling in a large group of folks - I'd say these days, but it has always been so.

I think the statement will always hold true, even though society changes. It becomes harder for great men to be great, but it's through their trials that they attain greatness in the first place.
