I dyed my hair black a week ago. And I was wondering if I went swimming would it do anything to my hair? I was just curious. :]

hell nooooooooooo...i colored my hair black 2 yrs in a row and nothing could change it... i mean if it's permanent black! if it's not...then nothing would happen to it either ...dont worry..it's black....the strongest color for hair

the chlorine might wash the color out, or worse change it to a green orange or purple, maybe you could cut a few strands and dip it in the water or ask a hair stylist, or call the company on the box of dye you used if you did it yourself. Good luck.

i dye my hair all the time, now its a dark purple with blonde and i swim with no problem, wut u will want to get is a good shampoo that helps preserve color, but the chlorine will eventually turn ur hair shades of green if u live in the pool. i use color preserve, its made by wella but i think its kinda expensive, probly just find some at walgreens or something

It'll be fine! I've died my hair black swimming doesn't hurt it. It's fine, and it's been a week so don't worry about it.

I'd put something it to protect it from the chlorine like a wax type hair cream to block it out.

it shouldn't do anything.... it's been a week. i think you are good. just make sure and wash it well, especially if you are in chlorine water while swimming.
