It’s the situation which most of Indian families are facing in day to day’s life.
As you mentioned that, you are elder to your In-Laws.
You must be polite & keep patience always, sometimes you have to adopt give-up policy in your routine; you have to move with them in such a way that, It would make them feel what they were doing with you was wrong & they will reciprocate to you soon.
Always you have to keep a cool head; there is a chance to win their hearts; if you maintain your respect and also respecting them.

Listen Carefully, no matter what you do will never be enough. Be yourself, stay true to yourself. Try to have the least contact with his family as possible, you don't want to be in a position, where he has to pick sides. For your relationship to survive and stand on its feet you need to live far away from them so you can work your magic that he fell in love with. After you guys have something solid, you have probably know his family better, then you can try to get close to them. Good Luck

It is hard to be a teen ager and they are testing you to see if you want to accept them as they are or if you want to rule the roost.Even though you are married to their brother,and you are living in their home,it is not your roost.If your in-laws have you set with them,then that is a different story.because they still need guidance.I would ask for the rules that they always have to follow and try to be as fair as possible.A good rule of thumb is to treat them how you would like to be treated.And above all else tell you husband that it is time to move to yours and his own roost.good luck

First, once married husband and wife should not be living with parents. Marriage is a new fondation, put away childish ways.
Second, if you both treat each other well, that is all you should worry about.
Give it time, and if they want to be A holes that's thier problem. Be yourself, that is who your husband married.

well, you have to prepare your self, becoz this you think may be they are like this and you think they are bad, as you already mention they are same like your bro and sis, so give time to your self to win their hearts, you have to understand them 1st becoz you are new there, that's why you blaming you self becoz you feel alone to yourself among all them.
about qualities, so you have to talk with them
spend time together, share thing with them, as you said he has sis then she can be your best Friend all on you, you have to deal good, a girl is like every thing for a house. with out a good wife no home run well. so there is no need to getting depress just give your time to them, soon you will feel changes in your life. and also get friendly environment.... good luck god bless!!!!!!!

As I understand, you respect them but they do not for you!.
First you argue with them, and tell them "you should respect to me. If they decline, then you could outline the subject with your husband, he can stop his family.

in which culture/country u live .its depends on this only.coz in us/Canada nobody bothers anybody expect husband..and in joint family u hv to maintain peace also so, patience is require..
