what is your favorite bible verse?
Jer 17:8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and [that] spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
this is the very real effect of God in my life. No evolutionist or devil could ever know the power of the presence of the Almighty.

Psalms 121:2 "My Strength Comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth"
I chose this verse because he is my real source of strength. He helps me with answers to questions I search for.
The verse comes from a passage where the author was in a walled city about to be attacked. He called on God, who provided deliverance for them from the attack.

My favorite verse is the first of commandments of Jesus,
Mark 12:29] "Shama Israelu Adonai Ila Hayno Adonai Ikhad." This is a Hebrew quotation, which means: "Hear, O Israel; The Lord OUR God is one Lord."
Why didn’t Jesus pbuh say that For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost; and these three are one. That's the real answer that he should give according to the Christianity.
Why did jesus said in mark 12:29 that '...the lord OUR god is one lord'. Why didn't he said that lord YOUR god is one lord. It means that one lord is also the God of jesus pbuh.
it is my favorite verse because it testifies that there is only one God.

I have many many favorite bible verses, depending on what I am going through in life. Right now, my favorite verse is -
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest (says Jesus)" from Matthew 11: 28

Unfortunately I am (what's the word when one can't make decisions?). Anyhow, I love to read Hebrews, Proverbs and Revelations. I read the whole Bible often but these books speak directly to my soul. Mostly about obedience and hope.
I'm tired. I forget words when I'm tired.

Death for Cursing Parents
1) If one curses his father or mother, his lamp will go out at the coming of darkness. (Proverbs 20:20 NAB)
2) All who curse their father or mother must be put to death. They are guilty of a capital offense. (Leviticus 20:9 NLT)
It keeps the kids in line.

John 3:16Â “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life. 17Â For God sent forth his Son into the world, not for him to judge the world, but for the world to be saved through him. 18Â He that exercises faith in him is not to be judged. He that does not exercise faith has been judged already, because he has not exercised faith in the name of the only-begotten Son of God. 19Â Now this is the basis for judgment, that the light has come into the world but men have loved the darkness rather than the light, for their works were wicked. 20Â For he that practices vile things hates the light and does not come to the light, in order that his works may not be reproved. 21Â But he that does what is true comes to the light, in order that his works may be made manifest as having been worked in harmony with God.”.........Take note of the end of verse 16... it says "EVERYONE (not just some people but everyone needs to do this in order to gain life forever.) exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have EVERLASTING LIFE".... this makes the verse special because in order for us to have everlasting life (which means FOREVER.... FROM INFINITY AND BEYOND, INDEFINATE...use your own words for forever) here on earth, we need to exercise faith in Jesus... and yet through Jesus, we are then directed to his Heavenly Father, Jehovah. I relate it to my life every day... in all of the choices I make..

Do unto others as you would have them do to you.
Whoever is without sin be the first to pitch the stone
Love your neighbor as thy brother (did I get that quote right?)
