No. This is war, my friend. Lives, whether innocent or guilty, are sadly but truly lost.
Take 9/11 for example, 3000 people who weren't even thinking of a war with terrorists, yet lost their lives in tragic flames.
It saddens me to hear that innocent Iraqis are killed in this War on Terror; but this is the price of war. It wasn't meant to be perfect.
In addition, how are we, as Americans, some of the only people who are willing to respond to a GLOBAL threat, take a chance of not firing our weapons?
As a U.S. citizen, we have to a stand SOMEWHERE, regardless if our own troops or our enemy's citizens die as well.
Also look at WW2. If the U.S. hadn't used the atomic bomb, dont you think there would have been a different outcome? This is what frustrated Truman; should they NOT use the bomb to save innocent lives? Or use it to end the war that had brought total destruction to the world?

No, they should not be charged with murder or anything else. America did not start this war and we certainly are not picking on "the poorest country in the world". The whole damn incident, if there was indeed an incident, as gotten blown out of proportion by the media bowing to the the wishes of the enemy, to make America look like the evil country with a run amok military. This has turned out to be "dirty war" with us being the bad guys which is what the enemy and the media wants us to believe.

We are at war because we chose to be. The family living in Iraq has no choice. Obviously, the life of an Iraqi husband, wife, or child is not worth less than that of a soldier in an occupying force. I believe all American forces are trained not to fire weapons indiscriminately or in a panic, and I would certainly hope that when they prosecute war in places where civilians are expected to be present, they will indeed have factored in that they need to be extra careful not to shoot them. Depending on the facts, I agree that circumstances could count in the soldiers' favor at sentencing. The whole thing sucks for everybody.

NO, they should NOT be. UNLESS, there is a video or pictures to back up this, horrible allegation. Doesn't anyone see how many of OUR men & woman have been killed in combat ? Just resently, we lost two more to insergents. Ask your self this, if we had chopped off there heads and mutelated there bodys, what would happen to us??? Yep, you got it, we would be serving a life sentance. "Go figure "
What happens at War, should stay in War. Take the dam media out, compleatly and let our military, use all the forse and fire power we have. Ya know, this could all come to an end in a week if we did that.

No excuse. They killed in cold blood they should be charged with murder and after the Article 32 hearing, should be court martialed. Two have already confessed to killing one man in cold blood for absolutely no reason.
Even in combat there is a line you don't cross. You do once, you keep doing it!
Let them do about 20 years!
And I don't know what 1 innocents murder, that we are charged by the Geneva conventions to protect, has anything to do with one soldiers death!
Your Commander in Chief has gotten 2,732 military murdered!
What if an invading army came to the states, and took over. Decided to go in your home one night and kill all your family what would you say then? Bet it wouldn't be what you are saying now!

Whatever happens between our soldiers and the "enemy" is just that. between them... What we need to do is support them especially and our leaders decisions. First, the soldiers are boys training and fighting their way to man-hood, they are told to do a job and they do it, simply because they are proud to be an american. The job they do is probably something most americans can't handle. Agree-ing with our nations stance in the situation doesn't matter, Support the boys/men that have to do the dirty work. Second, we as a country look weak if we don't support our leadership, if you disagree with bush do not make it public, keep that to private conversations. When we protest against our leaders we are only hurting our troops over seas. Tell your family and friends you disagree but support our guys in public.

In my view not only soldiers but also Bush and his administration be charged with murder as they killed ( and continuously killing ) hundreds of thousands of innocent people of Afghanistan (weakest and most backward people even beyond your imagination) and Iraq with nonstop CARPET BOMBING pouring all kind of hell bombs from thousands of kilos to Phosphorus and chemical bombs like rain and invading and capturing these countries making remains their slave. It is beyond murder even it is beyond war crime. As a supreme power invaded weekest nations of the world
thousands of miles away with false blames. As the media of the world is also controled by the murderer gang the people of America will never know the trouth about the deeds their forces have done and doing to the people of these countries.

Yes, for the simple fact that soldiers in Iraq may hesitate when pulling the trigger. On a battlefield that is marked with ambush after ambush hesitation will cost lives. This is bad for the moral of the troops.

The eyes of Islam are on this matter; to be an hypocrite would totally undermine all that this war is about, politically.
I guess i would relegate the guilt where it belongs, diminished capacity due to circumstances, war, etc...in the same measure as iraqi's are judged.
