Because the US needed to get Japan to submit before Russia could become involved with the Pacific struggle because part of the treaty made was that if Russia helped to defeat Japan they would receive a larger portion of Germany which America didn't want.

Everybody is right about the A bomb being not ready. BUT even if it was we may not have used it on Germany. Look at the attitudes of the two countrys. The Germans surrenders when they found themselfs loosing battles. The Japanes fought until every soldier was dead. The Germans surrendered when it became clear they could not win. Japan made preperations to line the beach with every soldier followed by every old man followed by every woman followed by every child in the country.

We would have had to kill every person on that island before we won. Why, because they believe that it was glorious to die in battle that they would be rewarded in heaven and that it was shamefull to surrender.

Our enemies today are much like Japan.

the bigger threat to come was Japan, as can see by WWII footage showing the kamikaze pilots. Japan was just starting to get into the war, really, America's big problem was Japan due to location and Pearl Harbor. Once Germany was seen as no longer a threat (since Hitler was stoned most of the time by then and giving improper directions to his troops) America chose to drop the bombs on Japan to prove that the weapons did exist and as a warning that shuld they continue to come out and play more major cities would suffer the same problem. It was a necessary evil.

How became Germany adequate to strive against adverse to the worlds in WW2? initially because the international locations they defeated were susceptible, and particularly inept. Even France and the Soviet Union. France - because they were prepared to re-strive against (and use the strategies of) the purely excellent warfare. And the Soviet Union, because their protection stress administration were decimated (through Stalin's purges). So Hitler, and Germany had some luck there. little question Germany had the help of different international locations. yet on condition that Germany became the most efficient participant on the time, they likely had little determination. help us in the different case!! yet once the Soviet Union, and Britain rebuilt their forces, and the U.S. joined the strive against, Nazi Germany became doomed.

Actually, we meant to hit Germany; that was the reason we built the bomb. But before we could get the chance to use it, Germany surrendered. We ended up using it on Japan when they DIDN'T surrender.

because by the time they had perfected and tested the bomb, Germany had already surrendered. Japan would have never surrendered, and seemed to take delight in torturing prisoners and civilians alike and would have killed millions of people if they were not stopped. It seemed like the only solution at the time.

coz white america wanted to show its willingness to use the A-bomb, to set a precedent for all times to come. Using an asian race as an example was more acceptable even though it is well documented that the russian army would have been there soon enough to help them disarm the japs. Its a clear case of american terrorism. They bombed japan just coz they had the A-bombs. That is why the whole world wants minimum nuclear detterents now and you can't blame them, thanks to americas irresponsible first use of it.

Because, by the time the bomb was dropped the Germans had surrendered and the Japs hadn't. Pres. Truman had to make a choice, end the war quickly or let it drag on for 3-4 more years. He took the end the war quicky route.
