It's all about Spring, and the rebirth of the planet, and how the birds lay eggs, and the bees pollinate the flowers.
Simple and hopefully, enough to get the point across to the young ones. Personally, I think it just confuses them, and they don't ask anymore questions.
I'm hoping they don't use it anymore, just that when they do, they just use that term, but do so, in a more truthful and intelligent manner.
