I am willing to bet your dog has not been well cared for. How many vet visits? Spayed/ neutered? That's what I thought. No wonder you're scared. A responsible owner w/ a well trained dog would not need to be. If you cannot find a RESPONSIBLE owner or rescue group my opinion is that you should have it euthanized. It would not be fair to the dog to take it to a shelter so it can be freaked out till someone has time to kill it. Pits almost NEVER leave shelters alive (thanks to idiot owners). Next time get a stuffed animal.

Wow good decision on your part-- get a puppy right before you have a baby-- do you think? And now, here you are, advertising on the internet. Do you even care where your beloved dog goes? Would you offer your dog to some thug living in the projects because he claims he'll give the dog a "good home?"
Contact a pit bull rescue, and if they won't accept them, bring him to your local shelter.

If you can't find anyone to take the dog take it to a shelter. A jealous puppy may not mean to but can really hurt a baby. They have special breed shelters all over the place that only take certain breeds and find them homes that match their personalities.

I love pitbulls but I just had a baby too.

Take him to the local shelter, they will find a good home for him.

If the doge is jealous of the baby and can't be trusted to be around him/her, get rid of the dog RIGHT AWAY. Yes, I am shouting. Do not make any excuses to delay. Obviously chances are nothing will ever happen, but if it did, could you ever forgive yourself?

Better for the dog to get the needle than for the baby to be disfigured or worse.

My older sister who lives in California faced a problem similar to this. She gave her Pitbull to her mechanic, if you don't to take your pitbull to a shelter ask a friend of neighbor if they want it. I've alos her of pitbull rescues that in pitbulls but they are NOT put to sleep. Try doing a websearch on pitbull rescues in your area. Hope you find something!

GET THE DOG OUT OF THE HOUSE NOW ! Dogs bite 250,000 children in the US every year. If your insurance company finds out you have it, your policy will be can celled. The dog can easily kill your child. I watched a Pit Bull tears the guts out of a full grown horse before the horse owner could get the dog off of it.
