No. Because we are told in Proverbs that mans heart is decietful above all else.
Also if we try to get to heaven by doing something good our selves, we are wasting our time, as that is what all religions teach. The Bible tells us that Jesus paid in full, the price on the cross. Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven given among men, wherby we must be saved. Acts 4:12
But we are all as an unclean thing and all our righteousness are as filthy rags. Isaiah 64:6
So there is NO WAY we can save ourselves, only Christ can do that, "For by grace ye are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

Yes because man is God's steward of creation, and a co-creator with God. The doctrine of Free Will states that our actions do have consequences on the world around us and we are not simply automatons. Each choice, each action that you make changes the world one way or another. So if everyone choose to be good and did good things, the would would be much better off. For example, I as a Catholic recognize that Judas didn't have to hand Christ over. That was not something that he was forced to do, but rather he chose to do it, even when Christ told him what he was going to do and that he shouldn't do it. That makes it all the more horrible of a choice.
HOWEVER, let me caution that we must not simply do good things, say focus only on social justice, but we must also seek after the true good, who is God. God wants more from us and wants to give us more than just justice and peace on earth. Only in rooting ourselves in Christ and living out the pilgramage life in the Church can we act in higher ways than natural morality and the natural law. Justice gives way to mercy and love.

The end result will still be the same. Sorry for those who believe it won't. But, it states in the Bible that there WILL be an end. And at the end, it gets worse, before it gets better....Brother will rise up against brother and such, unfortunately I see that right in my own family. Sad, but true....(I am the youngest of 6), there are 5 of us left, one already died due to a drunk driver. Keep praying and doing God's will.....They say that the road to hell is paved with good intentions, and I believe it is true. You not only have to talk the talk, but walk the walk...

No, because I think the vast majority of the people already do at least one good thing over the course of their lifetimes. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't take the next opportunity to do a good thing that comes along. Even if it doesn't change the world, it may change the life of one person.

I don't think we really know what God or supreme being plans for us or the world. We only hear from others' interpretation, understanding, wishful thinking or their own justification.
My feeling is we do good and virtuous deeds, good things will eventually happen to us. And the opposite is true: bad deeds result in bad consequences.

Hey!...if you all are who you stay you are, you should be doing a good thing several times a day! And not for any particular reason other than it's the right thing to do. Get with the program. The rest of us "Non-christians" are doing alot of "good things" everyday, but according to you folks, we're all going to hell.
Humm....for doing good.

Yes. Doing goodness does change the world because those who are unsure are strengthen by your kindness and those who refuse to believe are confused and become ineffective in their defiance.
