Beretta tomcat! Small and powerful.

Well now to give a serious answer. As a police officer my suggestion would be to go to some one who knows weapons and get their advise. There are many things to consider such as your hand size as well as your upper body strength as well as the issue of over penetrating a subject and hurting innocent bystanders. The nine millimeter is a good weapon for concealed carry. But your final decision should hinge upon what feels comfortable and what you can control. The weapon is only as good as the person using it. By that i mean that i have shot many weapons in my life and although the big calibers are fun to shoot on the range i would not dream of trying to carry a smith and Wesson 500 or a 454 casul on duty.

If concealment is the first priority the small Kahr P9 is a great choice. The Glock 19 is also a good choice as well. The Walther P99 is one of the best handguns I've ever fired.

The Model 952 Long Slide Pistol by Smith & Wesson is an all time favorite.

And if absolute intimidation and stopping power is more important, there is always the trusty: S&W Model 500 Revolver - HIVIZ. It is so intimidating that firing it in your own defense is highly unlikely. Just the sight of it should be enough to stop a problem. But that's probably not what you are looking for.

Depends on what works best for you and what you can conceal the easiest. That being said, never carry anything under .38 caliber or 9 mm.

I like the 1911 .45 and the Springfield Armory XD line, but I would try to find a range where you can rent weapons or where there are people that will allow you to try their weapons

I may be a bit antiquated here... But I suggest a 2-shot derringer.

Easily concealed, limited firing just in case the bad guys get it and deadly at close range.

probably the Walther P99 pretty good 9mm

Glock 19, it light and will kill anything if you place your shots well, as with gun.

Their are many other guns on the market, but I know from experience, this gun is all you need.
