Oil! They are now drilling for it in the plains of Asher! It several miles deep. And may take a year to reach. My question is will this relieve the pressure from the Saudi wells? If so all hell will break loose over there!

I understand your question and am familiar with the concept. (I'm not getting into the Gog and Magog thing here that others have touched upon. I know where your coming from and that's all I'm concerned with.) The booty involved is thought by many to be ... The mineral content of the Dead Sea. That things got loads of just about everything in it. All that's needed is the ability to extract those things. Israel is also bromine rich. Bromine is a salt water by product that in turn is found with oil deposits. Israel also has a "clean" bromine production process, wherein there is no waste to be burnt later. Which thing, the waste management aspect that is, makes the use of bromine in various products VERY costly. Israeli scientists have done away with that and can produce bromine products, and ship them world wide, cheaper than other nations can. So there's your booty ... Mineral rich Dead Sea waiting for minerals to be extracted, oil, bromine, and a clean bromine production process. Frankly I don't believe in the Gog, Magog thing, but as you seem to ... The Bible doesn't say anything about Russia. That's an interpolation.
Look, if "gog" and "magog" don't exist, they can hardly go invading Israel. Is it really fair to simply assign modern nations to these roles just to fit the Bible, rather than admit that whatever "gog" and "magog" were, they no longer exist and so the prophecy is clearly failed?
