He was a human. Why have you made this poor man into something so evil that damns people to hell for not following him?
Come on now, he was a spiritual being who followed his heart, nto a book.

Yes, I agree, he may well be pure myth.

Jesus was a spiritual leader and liberator of mind. He personified himself according to his perception of the divine. In a way he considered his own life to be a parable (this is the secret to understanding him). But they took everything literally and turned him into a god, a trinity, savior, creator, judge, he will even resemble a helicopter when he returns in the sky... you name it he's it. But he was none of those things, rather only a man with a great imagination and a superb understanding of the spiritual things. If he were alive today I'm sure he would be making some fantastic films and his work would fill theatres.

Someone's been reading the Da Vinci Code! lol...By the way, as a sidenote, most of Dan's Brown's claims are completely fabricated, by him or other men with similar creative beliefs. Anyone can do their own research and conclude without a doubt that he pulled a whole lot of crap out of thin air. Anyway, it's all about how you look at it. Christians believe that Jesus was the son of God, fully God, and fully man, which is a difficult concept for us mere humans. Christians do not believe that he is cruel by "damning people to hell for not following him." In my opinion, it would be cruel to force everyone into Heaven. In a Christian view, the fact is, there is a Heaven. There is a Hell. People have a choice, which is as fair as it could ever get. We are not all forced into happiness and paradise, but we can come in if we simply accept the free gift.

yeah, its funny how ppl think. lets look at what has been historically proven about the man called jesus.

we know that there was a man called jesus. he was said to be about 6'0 tall (much taller than normal for his time), had much lighter skin than average (not saying he was white, but he would have appeared different to most ppl), and may have had blue eyes, which would put him in the freak category to most ppl of his time/region.

so, theres a giant blue-eyed albino walking around. odd, lets go talk to him. hmmm..... he's hanging out with a prostitute and some religious outcasts.... and.... oh, he says he's the son of god. okay then....

now, i'm not saying that jesus was nuts, i'm just saying that most of us today would have told him to leave us alone. and was he a good guy, hell yeah, he seemed pretty rockin to a lot of ppl, but was he the son of "god"?

well, according to the christian idea of god, god is something so incredible, we cant fully understand the magnitude of what god is, so how can we really claim to know what god wants, or that we know for sure that someone is his son?

and that said, nobody can disprove anything about god either. just because we dont have concrete proof of his existence, doesnt prove he's not there either. life would be good if we all could just go "yeah, i'll focus more on being a good person, and less on trying to tell ppl why they're going to hell" or "well, i dont believe in that because i dont have indisputable proof, so i'll make sure i tell someone how stupid they are for believing something".

If you do some serious research, you may not be so convinced he was even human. He is a legendary figure at best, but may well be pure myth.

I think you are a true Christian..very rare her, and you have made an extremely interesting point. I believe in God. The God I know does not become involve in our day to day lives...that we have to work out. And I do not believe my God really cares whether we believe in him or not, and in fact, I fully believe that we are ALL God...I beleive the bible (not that I give a lot of credence to this book) says, "...created in God's image. "
God does not damn anyone. We each work to become better souls ... in our own way. And I do not believe that it is imperative to believe in Jesus...just another cult figure as far as I can see.

How can you be so cruel to Jesus?

Jesus was & is so much more then you think.

Go to the Torah and all of the OT then study the NT.

trying to discuss Jesus from a Muslim perspective is like a man trying to discuss child bearing.

Huh, He told the Saul (later Apostle Paul) that he was persecuting Him by killing Christians. I think I'll stick with His point-of -view, and I hope you find out the Truth soon!
But, if He was only human - He wouldn't care what anyone said about Him, 'cause He'd be dead!

He created a religious mess and led millions astray from accomplishing social understanding. He did, however, have good things to say, like treating others like you want to be treated.
