That depends. Do you want to get to know him? Why wouldn't you go out with someone you don't know real well? Isn't that what dating is for?
I understand that you would want to be careful. There are a lot of sick people out there. If you want to go out with him, get a friend to double with you. Do something that will keep you in public at all times. Meet him somewhere rather then him pick you up at home. Don't give him your address until you are sure about him.

Don't go out with someone for all the wrong reasons, find the opportunity to learn more about them before you proceed to the next level. If you two take the time to know one another before dating, you two can decide if both of you are right for each other and if it turns out to be a match, dating can result to a higher degree of fun and eliminates most of the akward feelings one gets when they date someone they hardly know.
