in a survey conducted by a nation's newspaper, people were asked about their favorite pet and dogs came top of the list while cats took the second place.to be quite honest,I like both but if I'm given the choice between the two,I would go for cat.

I don't have a preference. I was raised on a farm and had 19 cats and 2 dogs along with other animals. My daughters and I currently have 4 dogs and 2 cats. I don't know why people complain about the smell of either animal. As long as they are bathed on a regular basis and the litter box is change regularly, my daughters and I have no problem with odor. Also, both of our cats allow us to pet them when we want as well as when they want us to.

I prefer dogs even though I have 2 dogs and 2 cats, the dogs stay in their own yard but the cats just jump the fence whenever they want to go for a stroll but the dogs wait until I put them on a lead.

Cats... I like dogs too but cats are more independant and when I go away for a couple of days I don't have to worry about things as much like with a dog you gotta board it or something. My cats I can just leave to chill with a neighbor checking in at night.

I have 19 cats (currently) and 1 dog. I love my dog, but I'd choose the 19 cats any day over the 1 dog. Cat's are SOOO much easier!!!!

Definatley Dogs cats are ignorant only come to you for food or maybe sometimes affection if you call a cat the cat will only come some of the time but if you call your dog it will come to you the majority of the time. Dogs are extremly loyal pets unlike cats!

Cats, they are less maintenance, dogs you have to walk and find a sitter for if you leave for a couple days and a cat you can fill up the cat food bowl and not worry
