Mortal sin is a grave infraction of the law of God that destroys the divine life in the soul of the sinner (sanctifying grace), constituting a turn away from God. For a sin to be mortal, three conditions must be present: grave matter, full knowledge of the evil of the act, and full consent of the will.
Venial sin is a sin which does not destroy the divine life in the soul, as does mortal sin, though it diminishes and wounds it. Venial sin is the failure to observe necessary moderation, in lesser matters of the moral law, or in grave matters acting without full knowledge or complete consent.
With love in Christ.

Isn't s mortal sin when being tempted you give consent and act out your temptation and ultimatly fall from God's grace until repenting? A deadly sin.
Venial sin is, I believe, is sinning without knowledge of doing it.
Yes, I did know that missing Holy Mass without a serious reason is a sin.

A sin is a sin is a sin. No one sin is greater or less than another in the eyes of God. You repent of any and all sins, and Jesus will forgive them.
Catholics created their own rules that do not come from the Holy bible. I can say this because I once was a catholic.
There is no such place a purgatory. Eveyone who died before Jesus was crusified, who believed that Jesus was coming and lived by God's laws went to the place called Abraham's boosome, and are one of the first to be raptured when Jesus returns for His Chruch.. Eveyone who died after Jesus was crusified that believed he was the son of God who died for their sins, goes to heaven. There is no purgatory.

Mortal sins, if committed, will send you to hell, unless you go to confession. From there, you are absolved of your sins and your back on your way to Heaven.
Venial sins, if committed, will not send you to hell, but will send you to purgatory for purification of the soul, if not confessed. From there, you are cleansed of any impurities and on your way to heaven.
In short,
Mortal sins = hell
Venial sins = purgatory/heaven
No sins = heaven

A mortal sin is one that will send you directly to hell when you'll die. However, you can ask god to forgive you anything, so the one and only mortal sin is suicide, because once you're dead, you can't beg for god's mercy
