tell him that you want to hang out, just the two of you, once in a while.
Don't try to keep him completely from his friends, you will lose him if you do.

Just ask... is he just ur friend, or is he ur boyfriend? if he's ur boyfriend, it should be expected that the two of u go out, alone with one another.
