What does being American have to do with religion?
You are compassionate, giving.... I am sure you will be rewarded somehow for your charity actions.... because when you do good in God's name, he will reward you.

No and not to start a bunch of hate mail on religion, but I believe if there is a God then that god will look at how you lived your life not on which church or religion you chose to follow.
