This Christian doesn't believe in Hell. Why would a loving providing Father roast his errant children for all eternity? For what purpose? Lessons are only learned by the living. I believe there are lessons for us to learn, either here, or in an afterlife.

Some Christians do believe this, and some do not. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches the following:
1. God is a just, merciful, and loving Father in Heaven. He wants all people to learn the truth and follow Him.
2. God requires that everyone accept Jesus Christ as their Savior, and to keep the commandments.
3. Obviously not all people will hear the truth in this life. Many people, including millions of infants and children, have died without even hearing of Jesus Christ. After a person's death their spirit (soul) goes to a Spirit World, where he or she will be taught the Gospel if they did not hear it on Earth.
4. These people will have the opportunity to accept or deny the Gospel in the Spirit World.
5. Therefore, all people will have the opportunity to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, if they repent of their sins and keep the commandments.

Do Christians really believe that Non-Christians (Hindi, Muslim, Buddhist..etc) will go to hell?
yes. the Bible also tells us that some so-called Christians will go to hell too. its about being in right standing with God. not a label you place on yourself or someone else.

Yes. The Bible is very clear that all who choose not to accept Jesus will not get another opportunity after death. They will remain separated from God by their own choosing. NOTE - those who have never heard the Gospel will be spared, as were those in the Old Testament. All they have to do is accept the grace of God. So some may be admitted, but in today's society that number would probably be very small. No matter where on earth you are today, the chances are good that someone has carried the message of the Gospel to you.

I do. It's not about being bitter or synical or simply hoping for the worst for everyone different than me, it's just that that's what the Bible says. I take the Bible literally, seeing as how it's the most historically tried-and-true book in existence. "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father (Heaven) except through me." Again, it's not that we (or God) want(s) people to go to Hell, but the fact is that God created free will, which means people have the choice. God does not force all the little sheep into his eternal paradise, he wants them to be able to choose it, or not choose it. This is what most Biblical Christians believe. I hope this helps.

Yes, which when you get into the nitty gritty of christianity it ends up being a very tricky and broadly understood idea. Some have taken it so far [ like the whole fire and brimstone idea ] which is completely contradictory to the whole christian phylosophy, others see it in a similar way to Buddhists see that following the specific teachings you can escape suffering and reach enlightenment. Which is funny when you relize how confused we humans seem to get when right and wrong gets mixed into the pot.

I do not know were I will go, I only know that if you accept the Lord Jesus Christ within you heart and confess your sins, you will be saved. I do not know who is going where, I read the bible, and all I know is that I may not be at the top of the gate, but I pray that I can get in, but God's grace and mercy, not if you are hindi.muslim, buddhist ------------I know that there is only ONE GOD--if you believe in that=
read the BIBLE-and I do not care what anyone else has to say smart about it. I am a christian, and there is nothing wrong with it, it does not mean that I will go to heaven just because of that----------It is what I do with my heart, mind and body

Christians are a very large and diverse group. There is almost nothing that all Christians would agree on.
There is undoubtedly somewhere a Christian that sincerely believes that everybody but he himself is going to hell.
Many Christian churches do teach that a person who did not, while alive on earth, accept Christ as his savior and seek forgiveness, will go to hell.
There are many other teachings on the subject as well.

Hell is eternal separation from God. If people don't want to spend eternity with Him, then it will be their choice to be separated from Him. Some believe that we can't be separated from God...in a sense that is true. But in this case we are talking relationship...Father/Child... When we come through the door that He opened in His Son Jesus, we enter into a Family relationship with Him. He doesn't force that on anyone, He just offers us the chance to be with Him and get to know Him. He knows it's not for everyone, yet His heart longs for everyone to come.

I'm one of those you called "horrid pagan" mate, and I sincerely doubt I'm going to Hell, as I don't believe there's a Hell apart from the one we're currently living, with all the bloody wars, etc. But, if it makes you feel better and sleep at night, then keep thinking that way. Don't want to deprive you :) BTW...will this be the same Hell that Priests who sodomize choir boys go to when they pass?
Blessed Be!

As a Christian I believe everyones name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life at the foundation. It is not God's will that any one will perish but that all will have everlasting life. Hell was made for the devil and his angels.
People reject God's Salvation plan through Jesus, the Lamb of God, though and those may have their names blotted out of the Lamb's Book of Life.
People have their life and even at their death bed to confess Jesus Christ Lord of their life. Problem is if someone kept waiting and waited too long and died too quickly.
If person murders others by self-righteous judgment and kills self in a murder suicide, there is no chance for that murderer to make it to Heaven. He/She goes straight to hell.
