A laxative. And just so you know, average for most people is that you should be having a bowel movement at least every 3 to 4 days. There are things you can buy over the counter, but I would consult a doctor. There could be something seriously wrong. My friend's little girl kept saying she was afraid to go poop. In the end, she was in the Er and the docs had to dig it out and there was so much up there, she was blocked and almost lead her to have surgery.

Stool softeners or fiber capsules
If you want to do it without resorting to medicines, make sure you are eating high fiber foods, like spinach, 5-minute oatmeal (the old fashioned kind), pears, cabbage, etc. Be sure to drink 8 glasses of water a day, as that softens it up naturally.
Also, doing tummy crunches or sit ups helps me, cause it keeps things moving down there.
The last thing is to get a mineral supplement - magnesium. According to my health food lady, it relaxes the bowel. One warning, do not do all of these at once. Try food and water one day, and if the next day nothing happens, go to food, water, and medication.

doesnt come out why? contipation? or you just dont have to go,
Laxitives are a temperary solution and could become habit forming,
You can try SOFTLAX available at any pharmacy and are only about $4.00 for 100 gelcaps.
they add moisture to your stools so that they are easier to pass, and are not habit forming, dont cause cramping, and wont give you the runs either.
Also add more fibre to your diet, apples, fruits, raisens. etc, stay away from cheese and banana's as these will make you contipated as well.

If you don't want to take any meds, try eating some prunes first it's supposed to help if you want to purge your system and also helps with constipation. If that doesn't work and you want to go to meds, go to the pharmacy and ask for some laxatives, that is sure to help you out with some movement.

Try something natural first. Strawberry-banana smoothie, oatmeal, nuts, beans.
If that doesn't work, milk of magnesia, ex-lax, dulcolax, colace, senna, any over the counter laxative.
