Would it be possible to believe in self, leading to believing in the power of God within yourself?

Why are you so sinful and full of shame? Why does it ******* matter?

You are assuming a lot. I'm neither sinful nor full of shame, I live in a world of light and I try to walk with God everyday. It's a joyful walk, not one of shame and desperation.

I feel I must follow God, otherwise my life would be in the potty by now lol. I need His hand on my life, or I'll just mess it up very bad.

Because its self worth. Its the built in desire of your life. It's not something you can get rid of no matter how many sins or drugs you indulge in. You can force you self to forget about it. but it's still their waiting for your weakest moment to over come you with guilt.
You can believe in you self but we are flawed that is the truth. You believe in G-d this will lead you to have power of will.

It doesn't have to matter you can live this life the way you want that's the greatest thing about G-d
but in the end if G-d is real well we all must pay are Individual price for it.

I don't believe you have to worship or be part of a religion to feel like you are worth something. If you are a good person, help people in need, and don't break the law then you are worth more than most that follow religions. Just my opinion though. I'm from Utah so there are a lot of hypocrites here.

For me, my faith is about a relationship with a heavenly father. He has helped me through a lot of tough times in my life. I've also seen responses to prayers that cannot be coincidental.

Some people may believe that I'm ignorant, but if I am, why do you care?

I worship and follow God because he helps me and in turn I'm thankful for what he does for me.

That's why I worship him.

My strength comes from the Lord, the Maker of Heaven and Earth.

"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23 and " The wages of sin are death" Romans 6:23. To answer the question yes we are all sinful..James 2:10 reminds us that if we break even one of God's laws, we are guilty of breaking them all. Believing in one self is self worship..breaking God's law there shall be no other Gods before me.It doesn't matter ..if you wish to spent eternity in hell. You might not like this answer but it is the truth. People shouldn't feel they must worship, they should want to. Once you have accepted Jesus as your personal Savior you will want to worship him. should you choose to worship yourself just remember what happened to HIM and he Didn't Sin.

I think that any religion or faith that teaches you not to believe in yourself or tells you that you cannot find God through yourself is full of ****. You are God and God is you. It helps to congregate with people who believe the same thing and can support one another Through the challenges of life. I think that those who hook up with a religion or faith just to feel like they are worth something, are defiantly in it for the wrong reasons.

I agree totally. I'm not finite in what I believe, but I find the idea of strict 'laws' the church says to follow ridiculus. I have some faith, but nothing brings up the feeling of something of a greater power besides music and nature for me. I don't feel compelled to go to church or to speak specific words to apprecciate the higher power I feel. I know it's there, and that's all that matters.

I was forced to go to Catholic church for 4 years, and hated every second of it. I just don't understand why someone would deprive themselves of anything natural because an Irish man in a robe tells you to?

Mindless submission to authority is a genetic trait that affects about 80-90% of the population. The remaining 10-20% become the authorities who are mindlessly followed.

Believing in God puts me beyond worth than you could ever be! Arrogance and Selfish pride had Satan thrown out of Heaven. Our ranks with God is higher than the angels! You can't judged anyone unless given the right by God who will judge you one day! Why be a unlady-like potty-mouth when you can be sealed with a pure heart until the day of redemption?

You want to be so different…
You don’t want to march to the same beat as everyone else…
Don’t you know that is how everybody else is…
We are all sheeps trying to be the black sheep…
You are different and uniquely made by God, the creator of everything…
Let your guard down and let him love you and seek him, because you deserve it!
