You usually say it's because we Christians are hypocrites, always shoving our religion down your throats. But that's not true. I went back through the previous 500 posts and counted the pro- and anti-Christian posts. I did NOT count legitimate questions on either side.
"Questions" preaching about Christ: 20.
"Questions" attacking and/or mocking Christianity: 122.

Who's shoving their beliefs down whose throat?
Who are the hypocrites?
WHY must you devote yourselves to attacking other peoples' faith?

Even a post that's "preachy" is not an attack--your messages are exclusively attacks.
We posit a loving God and everlasting life--you posit an empty void.
We offer something--you offer nothing.
We say we're right--you say we're wrong, but you don't say how you know that, or what right is.

If there is no God, why do you waste your short lives attacking the beliefs of others?

i individually do no longer %. on Christians, Jews, Muslims or any of the like. in spite of the indisputable fact that, whilst i'm being at a loss for words, or "condemned to damnation" by utilising such- i can basically safeguard myself. perhaps you sense attacked on account which you're a Christian. however an identical may well be pronounced by utilising a Jew or Muslim, or Buddhist or Taoist. each faith is made exciting of, and each faith is sought out, no count if it particularly is by utilising interest, perception or different such issues. i individually have faith such assaults, antagonistic ones and stupid ones, are from people who're insecure. in spite of the indisputable fact that, if there's a theological communicate happening or a debate, guy up. stop the dislike, strengthen the peace.

Three points come to mind:

First, if you had a grown friend who obsessed for hours every day about whether Santa Claus was going to put him on his Naughty list, you'd probably intervene and explain to your friend that believing in Santa Claus is silly. Well, that's how atheists feel about Christians. We ridicule out of love.

Second, if Christians weren't so busy trying to shove their agenda down everyone's throats, you might find your views are tolerated a bit more. Instead, you try to force pregnant 13 year olds to give birth. You try to tell consenting (gay) adults they can't get married. You try to go into our schools and redefine science to include "supernatural" explanations so you can force intelligent design nonsense into the curriculum. You try to force atheists and those of other faiths to sit through school prayer. Basically, the religious right seems to feel they have the right to mandate that everyone has to do everything they say. In doing so, they piss everyone else off.

Lastly, you need a hobby, like checkers. You have too much time on your hands.....

GREETINGS!...Yes,I agree. For so many to DENY the fact that GOD exists, they sure are acting like He does! Why give so much time and energy to a mere myth? I'll tell you why! They can't escape the very act of creation as PROOF of God's existence! No more than they can say their computer just came together all on its own--no maker...That's crazy! And so is the belief that the stars, moons, suns, mankind and everything else just came from nowhere and 'POOF'!--There it was!...We all know better than that! But take heart--their comments are simply to stir you up--they get a "high" from it! GOD is neither amused or worried...Soon all will seek God's mercy...And isn't it wonderful that He actually WAITS PATIENTLY for that to happen? The devil may laugh at night...But he flees at the light of day...Such a coward...Prince David/Ambassador For The Most High

Because they love to stir up dissention. I agree with you that there are a lot of people on the web who love to attack Christians. But they do it largely because they are fed up with the religion and the hypocrisy of the religion.

All I can suggest is that we continue to walk in love and love one another,

The King James Bible says in Luke 6:28 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)
Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

A better translation is in The Message Bible:
Luke 6:28
27-30"To you who are ready for the truth, I say this: Love your enemies. Let them bring out the best in you, not the worst. When someone gives you a hard time, respond with the energies of prayer for that person. If someone slaps you in the face, stand there and take it. If someone grabs your shirt, giftwrap your best coat and make a present of it. If someone takes unfair advantage of you, use the occasion to practice the servant life. No more tit-for-tat stuff. Live generously.

So, does it really matter that the nonbelievers just don't get it???
Don't take it personally, okay?

Love with God's love and let Him handle the judgement and condemnation.

The only reason you feel attacked is simply because not everyone believes as you do. I do believe in God but not in Christianity because I use my brain and have the courage to say that believing in the literal translation of the bible makes absolutely no sense at all. That also takes faith. It takes arrogance to believe that God is only available to humanity through Christianity because God reached us along time before the "Holy Word" and will continue to reach us after it's gone and forgotten.

Why attack the Christians/ Because christian soldiers have been slaughtering indigeonous souls around the world for two thousand years in the name of god. that's why you are priveledged enough to live in the land of the free and the Native Americans have been muddling about in a state of squalor since the arrival of the wonderful ******* christians. Stick your cross up your *** where it belongs.

Religion is faith.Faith is not based on truth. There is a gigantic religious machine on Earth that functions entirely on faith not truth.Universities, hospitals, and missionaries. Intellectuals in the public eye and their psyche is held together with the word "faith" not "truth".I would suspect that this kind of organization in America would be illegal. You could not have an ego that high on faith and be sane.Am I seeing a repressive scam?

Here he comes again a poor salesman trying to sell a product which noone wants to buy. Man why can't your god hire a good salesman. You can't back your arguments, you keep going on and on about jesus and just coz noone buys it you complain of christian persecution and christian bashing. I find this whining only by christians and islamists. What you are not sure of the goodness of your message/product that you gotta scream to sell it and still noone buying. I'm glad you do more damage to your cause than "harvest souls for jesus". We don't have to bash you. You fall on your face coz you underestimate the intelligence of others.

Lucklily for us Christians, we know it is only the devil trying to undermine our beliefs. Poor devil. When we are sitting in Heaven, listening to Jesus, the devil will still be burning in the lake of fire.

Be strong fellow Christians. Let not the tempters pull us away from our destiny. May all mockers see the light and find their way to salvation through the blood of Our Lord and may they come to see how AWESOME God is and how wonderful it is to believe in Jesus Christ.

Because people can have a good laugh at Christians, but the moment they attack Muslims and/or Islam, they are targeted by radical fundamentalists' radar... think about how the simple publishing of a harmless cartoon of Muhammed sent Europe into an uproar!
