is it a given that someone who is not in love with you is not even attracted to you or could they still want you in that way?

i should add that the person previously was in love, but recently said that their feelings had changed. i wonder if all feelings are gone.

You can be attracted to someone but not in love with them. It's like when you first meet someone, you aren't in love with them, but there is an attraction.

no. You can be attracted to someone instantly, on first site. Love takes time to develop. Also, I am still very attracted to one of my exes whom I no longer love. Don't know what that means. It's hard not to do her. I suppose I love her still, but to say I'm in love with her is a reach, seeing as how I do not want to be with her any more, for personality reasons. Anyway, excuse the tangent. Love and attraction are different things, and the latter can exist without the former.

Love and physical attraction are related but not the same. I could be attracted to someone but not care about them in the slightest.
Vice versa is harder to deal with.

Attraction has nothing to do with love. However, if the love has turned to hate, then the attraction is gone too.

There's a big difference between lust and love. You can be physically attracted to a person even if you don't love them. Occasionally, you can also love a person or care deeply for them without having a sexual attraction.

You can be totally attracted to someone whom you don't love. That's where dating comes from. You don't have to love everyone you date. A physical attraction has nothing to do with love.

That doesn't necessarily mean they are not attracted to you. They just are not in love with you. Definitely they could still want you in that way. Maybe they just want to have a sexual relationship and that's all.

np it does not mean that they are not attracted to you my ex boyfriend i told him i loved him and he could not say it back but i knew he was attracted to me so i broke up with him thinking it would not lead into marriage or a serious relationship and now he is calling me a month later and i have a new boyfrind but i am still in love with him i know he was attracted to me.

you dont have to love someone to have sex with someone so no even if they dont love you they still can be attracted to you, its called LUST
