It doesn't make sense. If god proves that it exists, then no one would need faith and god would still be something, not nothing.

God doesn't have to prove anything. He revealed Himself to the people He chose, with many great signs and wonders. "O ye of little faith" comes into play when we forget Who He Is, and doubt His Word and power, and not trust in His sovereignty. Of course, those outside this group wouldn't understand this because they were not witness to these things. Without faith WE are nothing...we live today and are gone tomorrow like the flowers of the field. Faith is our "yes" to the possibility of something greater than ourselves, an openness to receive things we could never imagine possible...a leap into a promise. God IS whether there is faith or not.

Sounds like god should have made a universe that is irrational if faith is what he values. How can the faithful simultaneously claim god's handiwork is apparent and so no-one has an excuse for not believing, and then turn around and say it's all about faith? Either the heavens declare him, or they don't. Which is it?

I am a christion, but if i answer this the way i shuld you wont listen to me. So, ill give a "somthing to think about" answer.
Can you prove something dosent exist, if it dosent there is no proof either way, making it imposible to prove. Altho god clearly exists. The laws of physics clearly state, you can not creat or destroy matter, so... whare did everything come from? the big bang, what caused that, whare did that matter come from. Whats more sensible, God created everything, or the laws of physics dont mater and every thing came from nothin`, from a scientific stand point what makes more sense?

I haven't read this in the bible anywhere. You are adding to God's word so you are a liar.

God said to tell the people, "I AM that I AM.".

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

1 Thessalonians 5:21,22 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from appearances of evil.

Without our faith in Him, God would still be there. And the only reason God doesn't "prove" His existence is so that people can choose to believe and to love Him. I don't think it's really love if you're forced to believe.

"Yes, but the Babel Fish gives you away, doesn't it? It proves you exist, and so therefore you don't!"

"I hadn't thought of that," God says and promptly vanishes in a cloud of logic.

OK, so maybe it's not verbatim, but it's close, anyway.

Seriously, though...

A God that NEEDS anything to be is not God at all. I don't know about other religions, but I was raised Christian, and the answer I would have given then is that we must rely on faith because God can't stand to be around all of our sins.

The answer I give to that answer now is that it reeks of codependency and low self-esteem, but that's just my opinion.

Well, That is not the way it is. That is not what God says. For those of the Christian Faith God has proven his existance, to each believer individualy, that is why we are believers. We, The believers have "faith" that what God reviels to us is true, beause He is true. What God desires most is our love. As we charish his.. And, which, his love that is, you have also.

Trying to prove something is of the EGO. God is omnipresence. God does not need to do anything. I believe that when we become aware of God...then we just know that God is everything....no proof necessary.

In that case, it seems that very few people will be going to heaven or worse yet, it'll be kind of empty since more and more people are becoming atheists and agnostics as each day goes by because of all the sickening crap that's going on in the world and his coming is nowhere in sight.
