Is killing terror leaders wrong?

The Detroit Free Press

A very, very good question found there. Let's see what is again happening: “Suicide attacks push limits when the bombers are kids” – [Michael Matza – Knight Ridder newspapers]. We were all shocked at what happened there. “Palestinian youth believe that if killed fighting for Islam, they will go to heaven and delight in the company of beautiful virgins” – [World Magazine]. And here you see Hussam Abdu, a 16-year-old boy who had that bomb strapped to his body and he gave up. He did not want to die. Well, “The U.S. blocks U.N. Security Council rebuke of Israel. [USA Today, Bill Nichols & Barbara Slavin]. you know, i am absolutely shocked that they're using children to commit suicide in order to promote their terrorism.

A sheik, Ahmed Yassin, trained these children and they put him to death and everyone is complaining now. Wait a minute! Don't you believe the Bible? The Bible says in the Noahic Covenant, “Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by him shall man's blood be shed”, Genesis 9:5,6. Under the Mosiac Covenant, Exodus 20 verse 13, “Thou shall not kill”. The Hebrew there is murder. Turn the page. “He that smites a man so that he dies shall be put to death", Leviticus 24:17.

This man was training these little children to put bombs in their body and this kid says, “They gave me $25 and told me I'd have 72 virgins”. What would a 16-year-old do with them? He probably wouldn't know what to do. How sad. Yet this man who was killed was behind all of this. What did you say, Jesus? In Mark 9:42, “Whosoever shall offend one of these little children that believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged around his neck and he were cast into the sea.”

Now, that sounds like capital punishment to me. You drop a guy into the sea and he's gone. And the policemen and military men are ministers of God and they bear not the sword in vain, Romans 13:14. That's not for peeling potatoes. I say murderers should be put to death. Even some of these juveniles who are killing everyone around this country.

God killed innocent babies. He was upset at the parents of these innocent Egyptian babies according to the bible. So even though god preaches that killing is bad, killing innocent babies must be ok. That is if you follow the bible as a factual account. For such reasons as this I realize that if god existed, he'd be a mass murderer. Since religion inspires suicide bombers, I'd have to say that killin' is not a sin. However logic states that religion and murder are both bad.

We always have the right to defend ourselves when we are attacked by bad guys and to resist what they are trying to do. We don't necessarily have the right to hunt them down and kill them unless we are the duly-appointed authorities. (Even the Bible recognizes that there is such a thing as temporal authorities with the right to make laws and apply capital punishment.) Every time people start saying that the Bible is wrong or that they know better than the Bible does, we wind up with more evil, not less.

Not if you are in a lawful position to do so. The man who pulls the switch on the electric chair is not sinning. The soldier who defends his country is not sinning, if it is an act of war.

But to decide all on your own that someone is bad and decide to kill them is not the right thing to do, and even God would suggest you seek legal counsel on what to do.

Best be carefull with that one. Most people who buy into the whole sin thing claim everyone is a bad guy.

I don't know, I mean the Bible says an eye for an eye, and then it says also that "Thou shall not kill"....I guess one would have to use common sense in understanding these verses. If someone who is "bad" affects you personally (or your family) then I think it considered almost "good" to rid the world of such scum.

Really bad /disobedient people were put to death in ancient Israel's Theocracy(religious Government). They were stoned except for the exemption of multiple wives, which God forbade, also.Open criminals are given death penalties currently, even if they believe they did what they did for a good cause. If you kill some one you "think" is bad, you'll be given the death penalty too, unless the government O.K.'s it.(bountyhunter)

this is a loaded question for sure....I dont have the answers but I know the Word says that vengence is mine saith the Lord.....we are to trust in God and pray for our enemies and God will bring justice in His time....
.now if you have killed someone and you are wondering this because of guilt...I know that God forgives all sins if you truly are repentive and turn away from that sin and ask for forgiveness and make Him Lord of your life then all your sin will be forgiven.....
.now as in times of war lives will be taken and that unfortunately is a fact ....but in times of peace and with our neighbors we are to pray for those that have offended us and wait on God to bring justice to the situation
