I AM THINKING OF CHANGING THE COLOR OF MY HAIR. I DON'T WANT TO GO WITH ONE FULL COLOR. I SEEN OTHER LADIES WITH BLOND HIGHLIGHTS.....AND THEIR HAIR WAS BLACK.
DON'T KNOW IF I SHOULD HIGHLIGHT IT, OR STREAK IT, ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Blonde and black is one of the most trashy things I have ever seen in my life. Along the lines of light lipgloss and dark brown lip liner. Why dont you highlight your hair an auburn. Or dye your hair a medium brown and put golden highlights in it. Black and blonde will never happen naturally, and it just looks terrible on everyone who does it.

I think highlights...one of the ladies I used to work with is Hispanic with the blackest hair I have ever seen. The Cosmetology Dept. at the college where we work did the most awesome electric blue highlights in her hair. They were subtle but looked perfect. Don't be afraid to experiment. Again, for the first time, I would go to a good salon that can do great color. Would love to see the finished product.

Do you what a softer look , then highlights .If you want the WOW I have changed my look ! Then streaking. It really depends on how loud of a change you want .You see a blonds with blue hair , then a blond with slightly lighter shades of blond .It's a softer or louder look . Your personality will answer it best .I've streaked my hair bright red , ( my hair is naturally gray ) .I'm a louder grandmother .Really , but my kids and grandchildren are boring and use to me . PS. Work place is a factor as well ! Shouldn't be , if your a good worker but it does affect hiring plain or I'm here ! My boss just smiles , he won't even send me for drug testing ( company paid good for the travel & time ) .LOL

I say highlights because you can't do low-lights and streaks are to drastic. As for the color of the highlights, they should be a deep brown!

Go with Highlights, but NOT blonde I agree that it looks trashy. Go wilth like a deep auburn or something that will blend with your hair naturally.
