Is it safe to go out there and personally clean it up?

You can call your City or County Board of Health for information on what you should do. They would at least be able to put you in contact with exactly who you need to talk to to take care of the situation.

If you're afraid of West Nile then contact Animal Control to come and get it. Bird Flu, though, is very highly unlikely. Or you can just get a garbage bag and pick it up using the bag and then throw it in the dumpster. Then wash your hands thoroughly. Don't get your face near the dead bird. Then get some soapy hot water and scrub the pavement to get rid of the blood. But if you really feel uncomfortable doing that, then just call Animal Control. Hope this helps.

If you are in the US calm down there is no bird flu in the US yet. It is perfectly safe for you to bag them and put them in the trash. If there was Bird Flu in the US it would still be safe to move them just ware a surgical mask and gloves.

I wouldn't go near the dead birds if I were you...and you can contact your state CDC center for further information...you should be able to find the number in a phonebook or on the internet...hope this helps!

call your game and wildlife dont touch them they just found a dead bird with the flu in prince edwards island
