How do I stop my addiction? I really need to stop before I am arrested. I mean the stuff I look at is nasty, and the strange thing is I only look when I am supper down near ready to kill my self. I think the real question is, why do you have an issue with it? Are you insecure about yourself? Maybe you should ask him why he's doing it (if he indeed still is). Every different person has different levels of 'sex drive'. Some people are completely satisfied with sex once a week, or even once a month. Some people would have it a few times each day if possible. However, in a relationship you've got two different people, so chances are that one of those two will have a higher sex drive that goes somewhat unfulfilled. As such, masturbation is a great way to 'balance things out', rather than trying to force your partner to have more sex than they're comfortable with (which wouldn't be very balanced). Porn helps people masturbate. If he's doing it for this reason, I see nothing wrong with it. He's trying to not force you to pleasure him by doing it himself. If he's doing it for some other reason (ie. he doesn't enjoy sexual activities with you anymore) then that's a different problem that you do need to discuss with him.

How to avoid porn addiction on the Internet

1. Consider installing porn content filtering software( Strongly Recommend NetDog ,you can get it from www.netdogsoft.com ) on your computer. it will help to protect you from stumbling into pornography by accident, That's important.

2. Do not try to guess what the address of a Web page is. Many pornographic sites have similar addresses of respectable sites. For example www . whitehouse . com is a porn site. The real address is www. whitehouse . gov

3. Never click on Web site addresses that you receive in an unsolicited email.

4. Do not open attachments that come in email that are unsolicited.

5. Use filtered search engines or reputable directories to find the information you need.

6. Do not search for terms like girls. Think before you enter a search term.

Stick with reputable sites.
If something looks questionable, don't let curiosity get the best of you. Delete it or close the window.

I am glad you are writing about it. What happens next Monday ? I hope you are going to see a psychiatrist. I watched Dateline NBC tonight and it was a sting operation. Men were arrested and their computers were seized and they were filmed. It was horrible. Your addiction is more than just an addiction. You really have problems. You are somehow craving sex when you get depressed. Maybe you were molested as a child. I don't know, but I know that people care about you and you need professional help. Please see a doctor ! Good luck.

As long as you aren't looking at underage pictures I wouldn't stress to much. If you find yourself looking at under age stuff I think I would go to the doctor. A lot of people are addicted to porn so don't trip. Just try to fight the habit when you have it. Go for a walk or find something to do that isn't related to the pc where it's easy to find porn
Good Luck

You won't be arrested for looking at porn (UNLESS it's kiddie porn). There's nothing wrong with looking at porn unless you become obsessed with it and it affects your life, job or relationships. Then it's an addiction and you may need to seek help. Depression may be your real problem since you say you only look at it when you're down. Depressed people often try to self-medicate themselves with alcohol, drugs, food, gambling, shopping sprees and many other things, including porn.

You need to seek Christ to help you with your addiction as well as professional help through a qualified therapist. You need to find out why you turn to this when you feel down. Did something happen to you in your past? You have to realize that you are bigger than your desires and that you will take control and not let IT take control of you.

Though Christ it is possible to overcome your addictions. Find someone who is a christian and have them hold you accountable. Let them know your problem (the hard part) and ask for help. There are Internet programs that will allow you to stay in check. http://www.internetaccountability.com/default.asp

You can do it man! We all have our problems and through Christ we can overcome them!

I have an idea. Instead of looking at porn why don't you take an online course in English and Spelling.
