She is a 1 year old mixed breed, and she's thrown up every couple days for a little over a week now. In the beginning it was grass and some yellow liquid (stomach acids, I believe). Now it's become food also. Her diet has remained the same until yesterday, where we had a minor change of dog food for several days until we can get her regular kind. There has been no blood in her vomit. She has also had a runny nose. It's a clear, almost water-like liquid, and it hasn't been bad. I notice it drip every so often, and about once a day I make a point to clean any of it off her nose. Does anybody have any ideas as to what she could have, or is she fine?

I have a couple questions because this could be very serious. 1.how long ago did this start? 2. when did you get your last distemper/parvo booster 3. do you have any other dogs 4. have you noticed any sneezing yet?
This honestly sounds like the beginnings of distemper to me. Distemper is a killer in dogs, if you catch it early, and especially since your dog is a year old, it would have a good chance of living, but once that discharge from the nose turns yellow, odds drop severely, please email me when you read this because even if there is an outside chance this could be distemper you need to get to your vet immediately, because honestly, i have seen a vast amount of dogs die from this disease, please please please get back to me on this, better safe then sorry, thanks

If it is kennel cough you will notice a fairly consistant coupy sounding cough, so if not crooping rule that out. After eating grass many dogs throw up but as another person stated they can get hold of the wrong plant on accasion. as far as the runny nose dogs get colds too. If any blood or vomit or the vomiting gets frequent it needs to go to the vet. If the nose is runny and only occasional throwing up after consuming grass it is usually no big deal. However, a vet never hurts if you have the bucks to go. And the yellowish crap is common when dogs throw up grass. The dog probably does need to be wormed by a professional not that store bought crap. I was assuming your dog has regular vaccinations which cover distemper. Even the tractor supply kind.

As said before, it's better to be safe than sorry. Take her to the vet. As long as the new food has the same kind of meat in it as the old one, the change shouldn't bother her too much. But honestly, if she's vomiting that much, something is definitely wrong. Has she been to a kennel or grooming salon recently, where she could have picked something up? Has she been chewing on anything that may have been contaminated by something? Definitely take her to the vet. Even if it's nothing serious, they can probably give her something to settle her stomach so she's not vomiting quite so much.

it might be a reaction to her food. if she's throwing up that much you need to take her to the vet. dogs become very dehydrated from vomiting. my dog did the same thing, found out she ate a peach pit and had a complete bowel obstruction. she was vomiting yellow, clear then green. she had bad breath, then stopped eating all together. get your dog to a vet quickly.

If the dog was mine I would take her to the vet because it is better to be safe than sorry. It is one thing for me to say she is fine but when a vet says she is fine that carries so much more weight.

By the time you get answers from people here your dog could be getting sicker and sicker! If you were having the same symptoms I know you would be running to a doctor! So why let your dog suffer?

Dogs can become dehydrated just like people. If they continue to throw up or if they have diarrhea you should take them to the vet.

I think it warrants a trip to the vet. It could be an infection, or worms, but either condition should be treated.
You won't be sorry if you take her in, but you may be sorry if you don't.
