By "earth", I assume you don't mean the planet itself. I take it you mean the organisms on the planet.
Mosquitoes are food source for many different animals- both the adults and the young (larvae). They feed creatures such as birds, bats, and frogs (just to name a few).
Also, they are an important vector (carrier) of diseases, so the disease-causing organisms also get plenty of benefit. I know we only think of them as pests, but they are living and are just trying to survive, too!
So, mosquitoes are an important part of the ecosystem.
