Watch the show and think about one thing: what if the 'regular people' witnessing and reacting are paid to do so. The only reason you are compelled to believe the trick is the reaction of the 'man on the street'.
Once I watched with that one possiblity in mind, nothing was amazing. Sorry to ruin it for anyone.
