Assuming that the vet does it right, I don't think there should be a problem. The amount of radiation your dog would be exposed to is so very little that it wouldn't outweigh the risks of not having an x-ray done and not diagnosing whatever problem your dog has.
The only thing that might go wrong is that the fetuses might obstruct whatever they're trying to view (which seems unlikely, in my untrained mind.)

Not sure. I mean if it's not ok for pregnant humans to get x-rayed, then why would it be ok for dogs. I honestly think they have special machines. I saw something on Animal Planet and they did one to see how many dogs where in there. I guess you might want to ask you vet. sorry.

yes . . . . I've worked in the veterinary field for 6 years now; the amount of radiation your pet might be exposed to is less of a risk when compared to the complications that can (and might) arise from a pregnancy that could go wrong. If you are still worried, find a specialist and see if they will do an ultrasound (though it will be pricey!) However, the bottem line is, to be a responsible owner, find out how many puppies are in there in case something goes wrong.

it is secure for a human to boot to a element. you do no longer choose to take a ton of x-rays on something pregnant, in spite of the indisputable fact that it particularly is a sturdy indicator to confirm if there are any puppies in there after a undeniable element in the being pregnant.

not you personally... unless you are a certified vet. talk to your vet about it first. it should be fine. you have to take her in for an ultra-sound some time durring it, though, so an x-ray should be fine.

I don't think so. When shooting Xrays one of the first questions is of pregnancy - even if holding the plate and not *in* the Xray.
