The bible is a work of fiction. It's really that simple. There is no god.

I have asked the qustion about adam and eve populating the world many times. I have never really asked the question about incest, even if you take away the sinning part due to adam and eve questionablity, you still have the fact that it is immoral and just plain yucky. There is a lot in the bible that just doesn't add up. If you feel that something is wrong then don't do it, if you feel that it isn't wrong then do it. You only have yourself to answer to in the end.

Ever heard of Lilith? She was the first woman. She got kicked out of the Garden of Eden because she wanted to be on top. And yes Adam and Eve's kids would have had to sleep together which basically says that yes incest is ok- the reason that we dont practice it so much now is because there are too many genetic mutations. I am not sure if it says in the Bible not to have sex with your brother or not. I am not an advocate for incest, just pointing out the facts.

First, too many Christians think they know things without doing any research. And if they knew the answer they should answer it not tell you to go read. Part of being a Christian is to teach, not chastise for one wanting to know the answer.
Second, incest is a sin, but this list of sins was created AFTER Adam and Eve days.

Well you must understand that humans were different then than they are now. (If you believe in evolution this is true as well.) Can you imagine what the genetic makeup of Adam and Eve was? Probably not but God does since He designed it. Incest used to be more common practice but with so many people now there is no need for it. Especially since breeding withing the family causes the genetic flaws in that family to come out more often.

The poster above has missed the factor and that i will assume which you're searching for an answer so i'm going to do my maximum suitable to make sparkling. while Adam and Eve have been created, it truly is believed (by making use of Christians who have faith the genesis origins) that the DNA replace into acceptable and faultless. this means that there replace into no threat for incestuous relationships to offer problems (even in the present day the prospect of an incestuous relationship producing a baby with genetic problems isn't rather intense (this is why it truly is criminal in many Western international locations for cousins to marry). with the aid of fact the inhabitants grew and time surpassed the genetics that make us up began to degenerate and it replace into in Exodus (if i'm no longer improper) that the regulation against incest replace into surpassed onto mankind. this means that at the same time because it truly is a sin to commit an incestuous relationship it truly is a sin of consequence, no longer a sin of origins. As such it does not undermine the eternality of God's morality with the aid of fact if our Genetics wasn't undermined interior the beginning up then it does not have (a some distance better threat of having) a adverse consequence on the subsequent technology. Logically this demands the basis that humanity began with a acceptable set of DNA that has eroded over the years. As such the assumption is logical yet finally relies upon of your perception in a god.

Everyone who is alive came from Adam and Eve. Yes Seth and Cain married their sisters or cousins. It was not a sin then because at that time God hadn't stated it as such. When Earth's population grew this was no longer necessary and God made ordinances against in. Read Leviticus and Deuteronomy.

The story of Adam and Eve is a parable. They represent the first people on the earth, who very likely evolved. I believe that there were hundreds, if not thousands of Adam's and Eve's. I'm sure there's a grain of truth in there somewhere, God only knows what it is though.

I think the story of Adam and Eve was Figurative other-wises there children would have been cavemen....... and if every one was rooted from them, Judaism would have been around and taught from parent to child since the beginning of humanity but it wasn't the The Old testament was found many years after the beginning of humans and religion ( Apollo, Zeus, Mesopotamia, etc.) .........the story taught a lesson which is what was most likely intended so.............incest is a sin and it dosn't apply to adam and Eve

The Bible does not record every tiny detail, after Adam and Eve, they may have lots of children (girls) not recorded in the Bible.
(for example, don't expect the Bible would tell you how their language was formed or taught)
and from then as God said be fruitful and multiply, It wasn't sin until after towel of babel (spelling) where the languages got changed..

Yes incest is a sin. It isnt explained in the bible how the world was populated. That is one of those questions we will get answered when we meet him face to face, and not until then.
