I'm surprised to find out that the asker is a guy. Anyway, I have been to this kind of situation before....it's really too bad that love wasn't enough to make your relationship survive the distance. Well, since you both have decided to go separate ways. You have no other ways but deal with it, how? I'm glad that you are a laid back person, only few guys are like you and for that reason alone i'm sure you will easily find a new girl. Spend time with your family most of the time so you will be able to divert the love you are suppose to give your ex-gf, to this equally important people. Keep yourself busy with other worthwhile activities, example, join a church organization...who knows you will find God's gift for you there! bottom line is there is nothing wrong with long distance relationships, it can work out if both party decides to. Now if one gives up and is not commited enough don't mourn....move on! there's so much in life that you should enjoy....don't waste your loving time :)

I'm sorry that you are feeling hurt like this. Most long distance relationships are a real struggle for just the reason you mention. Both male and females want to socialize...it's a normal thing. People need other people.

Since you can't be with the one you care for because of distance or any other reason, it is not going to stop the other from wanting to enjoy their life.

If there is a chance you can be together physically anytime in the near future, it would probably be worthwhile to discuss this and try to make peace with it. If you are not going to be together physically, it would probably be best to move on so you can both meet others and have a normal life.

I wish you happiness.....

I can tell you from experience right now that she doesn't want to be with you anymore. If you call her, you are only putting yourself through further pain and agony. Especially if you are a laid back guy who wants her to be with you and not out with others, well you calling her and bugging her is going to PI$$ her off and she is going to go out and bop the first guy that comes along, and with this being a long distance relationship, I am sorry to say, I would be surprised if she hasn't already been with other guys....

Long distance relationships are so hard sweetie... and now with this statement that she has currently made, I would lose her number and move on...

Unless of course she calls you... first!

I had a similar situation. I don't hang out or go to the bar, so I cried for a while....and eat too much, especially if there's an abundance of food in the house. I like to sleep. I guess, I would act out my sadness. I think I'm still doing that. Good Luck to you.
