I remember the russians coming here in the mid 90's they are nice legal people. I met one woman she told me she came here because she was within the fallout of Chernobyl and her goverment didn't tell anyone there that a reactor melted down for nine months.

The don't want to colonize, many I met couldn't get a college degree because they refused to pledge to the Communist party there.

And one woman told me during WWII when her grandfather went into Germany, all he said was 'Wow, what a beautiful country' and he got 10 years in jail for that.

They don't want to colonize, they want to integrate, and someone told me there's a Russian joke why someone would never kill some leaders daughter in the country (I forget) because anyone that held a gun would take it away and say they wanted to be the one to shoot her...you would probably know better than me.

They are so glad and really appreciate to learn English. We've been enemy's so long that are too glad to be friends.

That's the ones I met.

I'm sure many people are from Russia, in fact, I believe that most Russians originated in Russia.

Land of slavery. Impossible to become a US citizen unless you marry for papers! Where is that land of opportunity?!?I've been here for 5 years, paid my taxes, have education, US doesn't want people like me. Too bad. I'll leave this stupid country soon. With disgust.
