I think 15 pounds in four months is a very healthy time frame. Absolutely it can be done unless you do not have 15 pounds to lose in the first place!!

It depends on what your weight is right now. I'll tell you what I did to lose weight, starting April 1st. I started eating three cups of fruit in the morning, and an apple on top. Then the rest of the day I ate whatever I wanted, well I allowed myself 1-2 junk food some days, and then whatever I wanted for so so food and healthy food, and I always ate whatever I wanted for supper. Then after supper I stopped eating for the day, and if I was really hungry, I had a bowl of healthy cereal and 2% milk with it. I've lost 43 pounds since April 1st, so I know you can lose 15 as long as you have 15 extra pounds to lose. 43 pounds isn't normal by the way, I started out at quite a chunky rate :( and at a very high BMI, but I am now getting very close to my healthy size. Just remember, don't starve yourself. I'm quite active as well, but my level of activity hasn't gone up any, it's just the same as it always was before I lost the weight. I've learned when it comes to unhealthy food, if you eat the healthy food first, and fill up as much as you can on it first, you really only need one or two bites of junk food, and it will still give you the satisfaction. :) Good Luck! :) I wish you well as you work for this goal. :)

Short answer: Yes, rather easy at that.

Long answer: I lost about 16 pound in less then two month. In most diets, you won't see too much result in first month. But you'll start to notice your weight going down gradually after second month.

Simply watch what you eat and exercises, avoid fast food if you can help it. (salads are alright). Jogging is the best, if you can't jog, walk. Aerobics are great also, if you can handle it.
***Swimming , tennis, joging, mountain climbing, karate/tae kwon do, or aerobics is what i recommend.***

Always eat breakfast, it boosts your metabolism. Eat lunch. Lastly eat dinner before 6 or 7 pm. (preferably light salad or fruit)
If you follow abnormal schedule then eat 3 to 4 hour before you sleep.

Starving is bad way to lose weight, you gain it right back when you start eating and it is bad for your health.

*** this part is only hypothesis, but your body actually memorizes the pattern. If you always eat at 7 am, 12pm, 6pm, your body will memorize this pattern and begin to store less carbs / nutrients. Because it knows it will get more at specific time. This is also why some people who follows set schedules always knows what time they will end up using bathroom.

If you really have the weight to lose then yes, you can lose it. 1.excercise in the am before breakfast so you are burning the calories that your body has stored, not the ones you just ate.
2, eat a good healthy breakfast including protein and starch, like 2 whole eggs and 4 egg whites with wheat toast or oatmeal,
3, have a mid morning snack like fruit so you're not munching on chips and candy before lunch,
4, have a healthy lunch, don't rush eating though, you're body takes a while to realize it's full, rule of thumb is eat till you feel half full, then wait a while and the full feeling will catch up with you. Then you get that comfy satisfied feeling, instead of misrebly full
5, have an afternoon snack, like a handful of nuts, almonds are good for you, blueberries are a good snack too, they're full of antioxidants, this will give you a boost of energy to get you through your day.
6, eat a dinner of protein and greens, never eat starches or carbs for dinner, that's like loading yourself up on energy and going to bed, so you're body stores it as fat. Also, don't eat late, you have to give you're body time to use the energy you ate before you go to bed, otherwise it gets stored as fat.

Last but not least, don't worry about it if the weight doesn't melt off. If you are exercising and eating better, then you are doing more for your health that the majority of the population. Congrats on your first step, and good luck!

You have to burn 3500 more Calories than you take in to lose one pound. An average diet per day can be 2000~3000 Calories. Over 7 days, you'd have to reduce your intake by 500 Calories - eating 1/4 to 1/6 less in a day - if you just eat less, no exercise adjustments.

That's significant for most people, but not too bad. You can usually lose 1 lbs per week without dramatically affecting your health.

sssssssssyes, consideer going on a low carb diet, but not as a diet rather as a life change. First, and foremost check with your doctor. Next, go with absolutely no carbs for two weeks. This will change your metabalism. Then gradually add a few carbs back into your diet. I lost 12 lbs. in a month that way. Unfortunately, I fell off the wagon and now have to start over. Good luck

It is possible to lose 30 lbs in 4 months. If you exercise every day except Sunday and twice on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Don't skip a meal. Don't eat anything after 7:00 PM. Drink lots of water. Stay away from anything with white flour in it. Also stay away from rice, pasta, potatoes, and breads.

Definitely... I think that's even at a healthy pace. From what I can remember the safe limit is a pound and a half a week... So, 15 pounds in 16 weeks is most definitely do-able. :)
