im a christian who use to live in a haunted house ?

it was me and my grandmother living in her house and from time to time i would be in the living room that connects to the kitchen
everytime the lights in the kitchen were off i would hear like someone in sandels walking in the kitchen like washing dishes fixing the chairs from the table kitchen i could hear them been dragg now i know it wasnt my grandmother because she was sleeping in the room behind me. now was that the spirit of a dead women or a demon inpersonating a dead women i could hear but never dear to investigate and the minute a turn the lights off the living room i can hear the sandles running towards me. and i use to run to my granny in terror. she use to say thats been happening for yrs you;ll get use to it

i just want to know was it a demon or athe spirit of a dead women?

well they closed the house down because everybody in the family heard the same thing

We're a Christian family and notice similar things in our home. So far, they have been harmless. I have not seen them but have felt their presence, but my teenager has seen 3 of them. We have an elderly grandmother, and old military man and a young girl. Our house is very old as well.

When I sense a presence, I commit it to the Lord and realize that my Lord and Savior has more power than any presence, paranormal, ghost or angel/demon.

I have no idea what it is, but I do know that when I say the word out loud "Jesus" I feel at peace. Not that the word is magical, but I realize the power behind that name.

Are you still bothered by ghosts or weird things happening now? Were you ever physically attacked by the spirit? When I was young we lived in a house that had been previously owned by witches, that is people who practiced the occult and called up spirits. Pots and pans would clang in the kitchen when no one was in there, cupboards would open and close and you could hear footsteps. Then I somehow got their/its attention and they started physically attacking me throwing me across the room, scratching me, and sticking a razor into my head. This is an unbelievable story, but it is true. I have scars on my face from this. It seems that these spirits have continued to follow me even though I have gone to people to pray over me several times. If you are a christian then you should ask someone to pray over you. It seems that your grandmother was unconcerned about this incident. Does your family have a history of clairvoyance or dabbling in the occult, oiji board etc? (My family was involved in the occult and eastern religions during this time also). Once the door to these things is opened it is difficult to close and it is no laughing matter. My face is proof of that.

Well, now you have proof that the spirits don't discriminate against someone's religion. They will show up regardless of your faith.

By the way, some of the comments here mention that what you experienced must be a demon, because spirits are in only one of two places: heaven or hell.

I disagree. A soul is energy. Energy cannot be destroyed. Energy in a spiritual sense cannot be contained in one "place". That is ridiculous, that heaven would be a place like a box with a lid on it.

What people fail to realize is that the devil is not in hell, he is right here on earth with us. He will not be cast into hell until the end times as the bible states. The devil is right down here with his fellow fallen angels and their plan is to rejoice in our misery. There is no ghosts, when we die the bible say we go to a place of rest until the day of judgement. The spirits you see are demonic spirits. They at times take the appearance of those who have passed to cause confusion.

Me and my family have experienced demonic presence in our home and it was only the grace of God that kept us through it. I have realized when you call on the name of the Lord, these things will leave you. We usually call him out and read Isaiah 14:12-16.

i believe that once you die your spirit goes to heaven or to hell, they can not be running around here on earth, i believe that are demons or angels, remember that the bible says that god gave us the power over the angels and the demons. we are stronger than them and they shudder at the name of Jesus, stronger is he who lives within us than those who live in this world. so if it ever happens again call out the name of Jesus begin to pray out loud, read out loud from the bible and turn on some christian music, but most of all trust in Jesus to protect you for he said i will never forsake you or leave you and he also said i will never put you into a situation that you can not handle.

i've lived i four houses that had some kind of spirits doing odd stuff and like your granny said, you get used to it. you can do one of three things: fight them, help them or come to an understanding with them. i've had the best luck with coming to an understanding with them. they can do what they do as long as they don't bother my family or pets( too much). only one spirit(out of 5) was a pain. it's in my current house and we tolerate it

That is not ghost but genie, i had spent for many years with this kind of genie. They wash the dishes, walking around the house and so on. They will not disturb you. They are like us but we cannot see them bcoz they are from different dimension.

I lived in a haunted house too. It's definately evil presence there. I sold it and moved out of it. I am a Christian too.
