I hear there is a line of requests for many reasons, their family, their lovers, adoptions, poor all kinds, those who want medical long list here too, students all kinds. Many stories.
Shouldn't Illegals wait in the back of the line?
Amnesty is like cutting in front is it not?

And yes it might take a few years-the ones needing lifetime medical ones wait.

Right now the government has allocated about 10,000 legal immigration slots for unskilled laborers per year. We have millions of people coming. Do the math.

We have enough unskilled jobs for millions of people and millions are here with more wanting to come, but the current immigration system does not provide for that many visas.

I suggest we take the following steps:

1. Guard the borders (not to keep out illegal immigrants but to keep out terrorists and criminals).
2. Provide a bulletproof identification system that will let potential employers easily verify that a person applying for a job is a legal worker.
3. Strictly enforce harsh penalties (jail time not fines) for employers that violate the employment laws.
4. Increase the number of available visas for unskilled labor to a number based upon what the U.S. economy needs.
5. Change the law that makes a person born in the U.S. a U.S. citizen to read that a person born to a legal U.S. immigrant or U.S. citizen is a U.S. citizen.
6. Stop providing free health care and govenment subsidies to illegal immigrants. Deport any new illegals back to their country of origin.

If we do all that we won't have an illegal immigrant problem. If the jobs and benefits for illegals are gone, then the people won't come. The real problem we have now is what to do with the illegal immigrants we have here now. I would suggest that if a person has been here at least five years and has no criminal record that they be automatically issued a working visa.

I know, I know you are going to begin railing against me for rewarding criminal behavior, but there is really no practical way we can round up twelve million people and deport them! Some of these people have been here for over twenty years living as peaceful law abiding citizens and besides, we are the ones who started this mess anyway by not enforcing our own damn laws!

Yes, they should wait there turn. As awful as it might sound, they have no right to ask us to give them so much. The fact of the matter is, we have limited resources, and it is only fair that legal, tax-paying Americans be put before illegal immigrants. American citizens only agreed to help pay for other Americans, and not for the rest of the world.

Oh, and I just want to say that immigrants granted amnesty are not illegal. They are not citizens, but they are given permission to be here.

You dont get it do you!!!! Most of those that are here would NEVER get in!! There is no back of the line when you cannot qualify due to income! Its a catch 22, you dont have money, so you cant get money! Amnesty was never on the table, the Senate has already made that clear. The immigrants would be earning their citizenship! Please just think about it.

What line of people? It's not the 60s anymore!!!!!!!
THERE IS NO LINE! Now you legalize by lying to INS that you love your fake spouse! No other way! There are no quotas like in the 70s. You lie=you legalize. You're honest=you remain illegal.
US immigration law is the most xenophobic and antihumane!

I work hard to be where I am economically. Why shoulp I help support some border jumper and his?her family? WHY?

Amnesty is advocating cutting the line.

They don't go the legal route because there is no real consequence if they choose not to. They choose the path of least resistance.

ILLEGALS are GREEDY and SELFISH,that's why they "cut in line"! All illegals should be DEPORTED,no matter how long they've been hiding here in the U.S.! Every illegal that SNEAKED into this country, should FORFEIT any right to EVER become a citizen!
