I am considering purchasing a puppy. The mom is a pug, but the dad is a pug/chihuahua mix. Will the puppy grow up to look like the mom or the dad?

They are so absolutely adorable that they are beyond words. Our Chug had the best of both breeds. He had the cute face and big eyes of the Pug, and was small, from the Chihuahua. His face didn't appear deforemd, as do the pugs, but he looked like a tiny (9 pound)

Since we were Chihuuahua breeders at the time, we looked in to developing the Chug as a breed, but learned that it takes 21 breeders, in as many states, and at least 27 years of keeping minute records, etc.....Just TOO much to handle.

I have a pug/cocker spaniel, and he is HUMAN. He has the pug eyes, does the pug "run", and speaks to us, telling exactly what he desires. His name is Cochise, (after John Wayne's horse in Eldorado). He turned out brown, because the pug was a chocolate male, and the female was a blond cocker. He has the pug eyes, the cocker snout, and the body of just a mixture.

Who knows, it's a mutt. It could look more like a pug since there is more pug in the mix, but who knows.

They will take certain features from both their mum and dad, although theres a good chance it may turn out more like a pug.

ive seen many litters of mixed puppies volunteering with my local spca...all i can say is...some will look more like mom, others more like dad.
