actually it is a statue not wall, and sadly, many people die every year due to the overcrowd at that location.

During hajj yes muslims do throw stones at a pillar. However this is symbolic of our rejection of satan. We don't believe that the pillar is actually satan.

I think it is a very beautiful practice. To act out your rejection of satan and his temptations. I hear it's a very purifying experience. I hope god willing one day to do this myself :)

We do not do it believing that satan is there or something like that, we do it it remembrance of Abraham, who did throw stones at satan on the place.
Infact most of our action you'll find, we do it on the steps of Abraham, circumcision, sacrifice, and there are lots more.

No they throw at a pillar...and kill many followers doingit! But its OK....they breed so well.
