Well I have a teen that uses My Space and I use it to myself. With mine I require that I'm on their freinds list so I can see who all they are linked to. And I know their passwords too. But I'd never go in and change it behind their backs. We have an open relationship. They tell me what their doing and let me in when I want. Besides locking you out won't work when you could make another one. They should be talking to you about their concerns and guiding you.
But until your of age they have the say so.... Least you know they care about you and are concerned with your online habits. Alot of parents now days just don't care!

Is there a "forgot your password" option you can use? If so try to get myspae to email you the new password and change it back.

I understand parents being worried about the possibilities of myspace but they're not going about it the right way with you.

i would be as mad as you. there are many good and bad things about myspace. i find it in between. i guess many parents think it's a big deal and the news has been telling how myspace is bad and everything. myspace is not dangerous if you know how to use it. i use to have a myspace but i got kicked off it. i had a speech due and i decided to make my topic mypace. i found a lot of information. i mean there's the private feature and you don't have to add people you don't know and you don't need to talk to people you don't know. if you don't post up information about yourself like your address and phone number myspace is safe. i mean nobody would probably post it. i heard in the news myspace is adding a feature that doesn't let 14 and 15 year olds add people over 18 unless they know their full name or email. i think myspace is safe and parents should actually try it before they kick their child off. i think you should try to talk to your parents about it and explain to them. good luck

MySpace is an okay thing, but I don't use mine much/at all. If you want a blogging spot I'd suggest Livejournal or Greatestjournal. Both have free things, but Livejournal have some paid accounts, and Greatestjournal is compleatly free.

MySpace is a really sensitive thing. You can have your password emailed to you since it uses your email as the account.

Although you have a good reason to be mad. I am a parent and I would never do what your mom did but I also worry about my daughter going on My Space. As a teenager you think," this will never happen to me". But it does!!
Please don't tell your correct age. Do not give any suggestions on where you go to school or where you live. Sexual preditors are good at what they do. They know lots and lots of tricks to draw you in.

Sadly, I think myspace has just become a back alley for perverted men to pick up on children. You sound like your being very responsible with it, but your parents must just care a lot about you & don't want anything to slip by.

You sound like your head is on right. they might trust you: It may be a thing of them not trusting other people you may have contact with. I will NOT allow my kids freedom on the net to do as they see fit. You should talk to your mom about her changing your pass words and how you feel about that. In the end if we agree or not our parents are allowed to make choices for us till we leave THEIR home.

I think Myspace is way too full of people who use "2" and "4" as words and not numbers.
It's like facebook, but much worse.

Just go in and say you forgot the password and they will mail it to you. I think that your parents should monitor what you are doing but I don't think she should have done that. I love my space personally and let my cousins on it.
